Denise Dever, Co-Owner & President

Denise Dever, Co-Owner & President

Denise is the President and co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care.  She oversees the majority of the business day to day, the financials and the marketing and networking functions. 

Prior to this, Denise spent many years in the financial industry working for the MA State Treasurer’s office from 1978 through 2003 and State Street Corporation from June 1983 through December 2003 when she left her position as Senior Vice President and Operations Department Head in the Corporate Trust Division.  Denise holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Suffolk University and served in a number of industry related groups.

Denise is very active in the Cape Cod community and is currently serving on a number of local boards and committees including the Hope Health Board, the Workforce Investment Board of the Cape & Islands, the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce, the Sandwich Community Television Board, and the Sandwich Legacy Foundation.  She is currently the Chair of the Hope Dementia & Alzheimer's Services Committee, moderator for the Cape Cod Community Care Resource Group, Advisory Board Member and article contributor for the "To Your Good Health" Newsletter, a member and Past President of the American Business Women's (ABWA) Cape Cod Chapter, former Northeast representative of Home Insteads Franchise Exchange Council, and member of the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts.

Denise has had a home in Sandwich since 1993 and has been a full time resident since 1998 when she opened her Home Instead office.​​

Frank Allosso, Co-Owner & Managing Partner

Frank Allosso, Co-Owner & Managing Partner

​Frank is the Managing Partner & Co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care.  He is responsible for all the day to day operations of the business including the client care, caregiver staffing, billing and payroll.

Before starting the Home Instead office in March 1998,  Frank worked for 25 years at State Street Corporation as a Vice President in Technology.  Frank has 2 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren.  His compassion and generous manner towards our clients and caregivers go a long way in making Home Instead Senior Care the best it can be!


Susan Fernald, Marketing & Community Service Representative

Susan Fernald, Marketing & Community Service Representative

​​​Marketing and Community Service Representative Susan Fernald joined Home Instead Senior Care Cape Cod in December of 2006.  She is responsible for day-to-day marketing, networking and community collaborations, as well as building strong relationships with other senior services in the Cape Cod community.  Susan moved from Nantucket to Cape Cod in 2004. She received a Master’s in Management from Cambridge College, a BA in Education at UMass Amherst, and, in 2012, a Holistic Health Coach Certificate from New York’s Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Susan came to Home Instead with over 25 years of non-profit experience, including eight years with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands and seven years with Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Community Health department.

Susan recently finished a 5 ½ year term on the Cape Cod Community College Board of Trustees, appointed by then-Governor Duval Patrick. Upon completion, she was immediately asked to join the Friends of the Barnstable Council on Aging as a Board Member. For many years she wrote a social column for the Barnstable Enterprise and occasionally free-lances for Edible Cape Cod. In her spare time she creates custom-designed purses and enjoys volunteering at local Senior Centers and Senior Living Communities teaching craft or decoupage workshops and doing presentations such as the importance of hydration and good nutrition for seniors.

​She has one grown son, Russell, who lives in San Jose.  In addition, Susan married her husband Mike in May 2015 and added six grown step-children and ten grandchildren to her family!



Beverly Kane, Billing & Payroll Administrator

Beverly Kane, Billing & Payroll Administrator

​​Beverly Kane was the first staff person hired by Home Instead Senior Care, joining the company in December of 1998 on a part-time basis. Beverly has held various part-time and full-time positions.  Currently Beverly is the Billing & Payroll Administrator.  A native of Massachusetts, she has lived on Cape Cod since May of 1992.   Beverly is an avid and dedicated environmentalist.  Her interests include volunteer service on several town committees, including over seven years on the Planning Board.  She enjoys gardening, birding, photography and woodland walks.  Beverly has four adult children and two grandsons.  ​


Jessica O'Brien, Client Care Manager

​Originally hired in March 2012 as a CNA/CAREGiver, Jessica was promoted to Client Care Manager in August 2013. Jessica brings to this role several years of CNA experience in hospitals, agencies and facility care as well as Program Coordinator experience in the healthcare field.

She has a strong track record as a CAREGiver and advocate for seniors. Her heart for seniors is evident in her devotion to quality care for our clients in addition to her Client Care Manager duties.

Jessica resides in Mashpee with her two beautiful young children.​

Monica Petrizzo, RN, BSN

Monica Petrizzo, RN, BSN

Monica joined Home Instead Senior Care on June 16, 2014 as part of our training team and client care. After first practicing as an LPN, Monica returned to school and earned her BSN from St. Joseph College in Connecticut.  Monica brings several years of varied nursing experience including long term facility care, governmental agencies, public health, and as a school nurse.  Monica is a seasoned trainer with experience teaching high school aged children as well as adults.  Monica teaches the Personal Care Homemaker course as well as a number of additional training offerings and in-service opportunities throughout the year.   Monica also oversees our Quality Assurance program and provide services as a Client Care Manager.  Originally from Connecticut, she and her family vacationed here for years before making Cape Cod their permanent home.  Monica and her husband have four grown children and three adorable grandchildren and they hail from Falmouth.​

​Kim joined Home Instead in 2006 as a caregiver working with many clients over the years. In August of 2015, Kim was promoted to Client Care Manager.  Her experience in working in the client’s homes is invaluable to understanding our client’s needs and helping to find the right caregivers to work with them.  A native of Massachusetts, Kim and her husband moved to the Cape in July 1994 to raise her family.  They reside in Mashpee. ​


Laurie Clayton, Staffing Coordinator

Laurie Clayton, Staffing Coordinator

​Laurie joined Home Instead Senior Care this past August, 2016 after moving with her family from Scottsdale, Arizona. She is a native of Massachusetts and moved to Chicago, Illinois to marry and raise her children 30 years ago. Her previous experience in scheduling is with a large home health care agency in Phoenix and over a decade of scheduling referees for a large soccer organization in Chicago.​


Christine Schofield, Staffing Coordinator

Christine Schofield, Staffing Coordinator

Christine originally joined Home Instead Senior Care as a caregiver in January of 2015. Her previous experience in Healthcare includes 10 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding and currently as a trained phlebotomist.

She enjoys getting to know the caregivers personally and hearing their stories through daily conversations. Christine's goal is to find the right caregiver/client fit that will build positive, long lasting relationships and a better work experience.

Christine has lived with her family on Cape Cod for the past 12 years enjoying the beautiful beaches and sense of community. ​



Pamela Bumpus, Human Resource Manager

Pamela Bumpus, Human Resource Manager

​Pamela Bumpus joined HISC in May, 2015.  Pam brings with her over 27 years of professional experience.   Pam started her career working for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for 23 years.  After voluntarily resigning, Pam then was the Human Resource Manager for The Black Dog Tavern Company.  Pam is responsible for hiring, training and retention of the CAREGivers as well as all other human resource duties.  Pam is a native of Massachusetts and lives with her husband and daughter in Falmouth. ​

Bernadette E. Pardo, Administrative Assistant

​Bernadette joined Home Instead Senior Care in October 2013 as a CAREGiver.  She was promoted to Administrative Assistant  in February 2014.  "Bernie" assists the manager of human resources in the day to day operations, as well as other staff members as necessary.   A native of Massachusetts, Bernie and her husband relocated to Cape Cod in June of 2013.  They reside in Sandwich and have two grown daughters and two grandsons.​

​Dawn first started with Home Instead in January of 1999 as our weekend On-Call Coordinator.  She became the full time Staffing Coordinator in March 2001 and then was promoted to Community Service Representative in October 2002.  After an injury sidelined her, Dawn left Home Instead and returned as the On-Call Coordinator in June 2014.  Dawn also went back to school and earned her LPN license in 2015 and is currently pursuing a degree as a Registered Nurse.  Dawn lives in Sandwich with her husband Bob, has 3 grown children and is the very happy "Mimi" of 4 adorable grandsons.​

​Ann joined Home Instead Senior Care in December of 2011 as a CAREGiver.  Previously her career consisted of advertisement sales and marketing.  Because of her problem solving skills, Ann was offered the Weekend On-Call Supervisor position in February 2012.   Ann currently wears two hats;  that of CAREGiver and Weekend On-Call Supervisor.  Ann resides in Sandwich and has one grown daughter and one granddaughter.​

Colleen Mercurio, On Call Coordinator

Colleen joined Home Instead Senior Care in June of 2014 as the Weeknight On-Call Coordinator. She brings to HISC her compassion for helping others by assisting clients and maintaining the schedule until the office reopens each morning. Colleen has a degree in Environmental Science and works in the municipal sector during the day. She and her husband have three young children and reside in Yarmouth.​​
