Hourly Service
Companionship, Home Helper and Personal Care Services are charged per hour, each hourly rate is determined based upon the types of skills and services being offered by the caregiver and if services are being offered on holidays or weekends.

Specialized Care
Some clients may require a higher level of attention and personalized care due to later stage dementia, extensive help needed with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, transferring, and other such services.  Specialized care is also charged at an hourly rate somewhat higher than the basic hourly service rate.  Our staff will work with you to develop an individualized plan of care and discuss whether specialized care is appropriate.

Flat Rate Services
We offer discounted flat rates for 24-hour care and 12-hour sleepover stays.

Alternative Funding Options
Veteran Affairs Benefits
Have you or your loved one served in the armed forces and qualify for some form of VA healthcare coverage?  Home Instead Senior Care of the North Olympic Peninsula is an authorized VA Home Care provider. If you think you may be eligible for home care coverage through the VA please contact us and we will help you through the process of applying for these benefits. For more information about the types of coverage available through the Veteran's Affairs please see their Caregiver Support Website at http://www.caregiver.va.gov/.

Long Term Care Insurance
Most long term care insurance policies cover certain in-home services. For most policies, you will need a physician's order for two or more Activities of Daily Living, or ADLs, to qualify for benefits.  See Personal Services for a list of the types of services that qualify as ADLs.  Please call our office to see if your long term care insurance policy includes this type of coverage.

It's often a confusing and burdensome process to figure out if your insurance or the Veterans Administration will cover the home care services you need. We're here to help. We can help you find out if you qualify for any VA programs.

If you have questions about how to pay for senior care, give us a call: (360) 681-2511. We will be happy to discuss your options.

Please Note: Medicare does not cover home care services since all services are non-medical.  Nor do we participate in Medicaid/Department of Social and Health Services home care programs. If you need additional information on Medicaid programs please contact our office and we can provide you with the correct vendor list for your area.

Senior Care Cost Comparison
