- Sandra lives in Lancaster, CA and was nominated by her daughter, Tonija Allman.
Tonija wrote to say how Sandra is affectionately referred to as "Saint Sandy" by her close-knit family. Sandy's devotion to her husband's decade long battle with Alzheimer's while battling her own fight against cancer.
Sandy is especially composed under the most difficult and challenging circumstances. Her inner fortitude and outward strength are borne out of Sandy's pragmatic approach to things, which emphasizes handling troublesome matters directly and limiting the extent to which they might otherwise detract from the enjoyment of life, something that is always her primary focus.
