At Home Instead, care is built on relationships. We take the time to understand what matters to you and your family—then provide support that feels consistent, thoughtful, and personal.

Yes. A care schedule can be built around specific parts of the day rather than assuming someone needs continuous assistance.
For example, one client may need help showering three days a week. Another might need a Care Pro in the morning to help start the day, while someone else needs support with their bedtime routine.
Our Providence team builds care around the person’s actual routines and can adjust the schedule as those needs change.
Most of our approximately 150 Care Pros are Certified Nursing Assistants. CNA certification requires 120 hours of initial training and 24 hours of continuing education every two years.
Home Instead also operates its own CNA school locally. That gives Care Pros another path to develop their skills while continuing their work with older adults.
Our office also has three nurses on staff, including our Client Care Manager, who serves as Director of Nursing.
Yes. We see transportation as an important home care need in the Providence area.
A Care Pro can help with transportation to a doctor’s office, shopping, a park, or another destination included in the care plan. The visit can include additional assistance, too—for example, helping someone get ready before leaving home or completing other everyday tasks when they return.
Our Care Pros can provide non-medical home care based on the individual’s abilities and everyday needs. That may include personal care, companionship, transportation, or other assistance included in the care plan.
Our Providence Home Instead team is also involved with the local Parkinson’s community. We support the APDA Rhode Island Chapter, and our owner currently serves as Treasurer on its Board.
Yes. Our office works with Encompass Rehab Hospital and Briarcliffe Manor in connection with personal care.
When someone needs additional help at home, our team can build a schedule around their current needs. We can typically begin care within 24 hours, which can be useful when families need to arrange support on a shorter timeline.
The cost depends on how much help is needed and how care is scheduled. Three weekly shower visits, for example, represent a very different care plan from daily or continuous support.
We’ll discuss the client’s needs and schedule before developing a customized care plan.
