"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
Home Instead Senior Care is personal to me because of the relationship I
had with my grandmother. The joy and connection that we shared lives in my
heart and lead me to have a genuine passion to work with seniors every day. I
started my career with Home Instead Senior Care as a caregiver in April of
2009. The nine-year journey has been a wonderful experience filled with meeting
new people, helping families and their loved ones, and making a difference for
seniors in our community. I’m honored to lead this team and we’re focused on
providing high quality care to seniors so they can remain safe and happy at
Suzie can help you with anything you need. She had a dream to one day work with seniors. She has now lived this dream since 2006! Suzie has four children and four grandchildren. She was born in raised in Indiana. She is empathetic and compassionate about everything she does.
Amy joined Home Instead Senior Care in July 2015 as a
caregiver. She provided care to many clients with various levels of care needs.
She was our Caregiver Advocate for one year providing training and wellness
visits for our clients. In 2017 she transitioned into a Client Care Coordinator
position. She works with clients and to ensure caregivers provide the best care
possible. She oversees client care, completing client assessments, and creates
a Plan of Care that best benefits the individual client. She really enjoys
routine wellness visits because clients share with her the positive impact
having our services have had on them.
Amy has been a family caregiver and understands the
challenges many of our client’s families face. She is a mom of four young men
and one daughter and enjoys time spent with her family, friends and watching
her oldest perform as a singer/dancer, shopping, hiking and camping.
are several reasons why Home Instead is personal to me. When my Great
Grandmother passed away in 2017, my family was crushed. Our Matriarch was gone,
and none among us felt that loss more than her primary caregiver, my
Grandmother. After G.G. passed, my Grandmother found she felt cheated. Cheated
because rather than having the privilege of being a DAUGHTER, she was bogged
down with running errands, buying groceries, transporting to Doctor’s appointments,
and even toileting assistance toward the end. She felt that she couldn’t come
to JUST VISIT G.G. without these tasks looming. It is because of this
experience and the lasting impact it’s left upon my family that I chose to
stand in the gap. Just twenty days after G.G.’s passing, I applied at Home
Instead Senior Care to become a caregiver. Since that day, my role within the
company has changed a few times… but I’m still here doing exactly what I set
out to do: providing rest, peace of mind, and the ability for family members to
just be family again.
Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator I get to share my passion for seniors
and seek out that same passion in others who want to help care for seniors in
our community. I was first introduced to Home Instead Senior Care when I was looking
to fill a void in my heart. I was living many miles away from my own
grandmothers and was not able to be the one to provide the care they very much
needed. I started as a part-time CAREGiver which allowed flexibility so I could
be with my children, it has now grown into a career I love.
We have the
opportunity to provide care and build relationships with those that need it the
most. Spending time with our clients who have lived long fulfilling lives,
overcome adversity, and look at life through a different lens teach me how to
be a better woman, mother and wife. This is why I LOVE my job.
Being a part of a company
is one thing, but having a family that thrive on the same passion that lives in
my heart is why I cannot see my future without Home Instead Senior Care. I am
very appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to be involved in our
clients and CAREGiver’s lives.
Home Instead is personal for me for many reasons. The first
and most important reason is connected to my faith. James 1:27 reminds me,
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God means caring for orphans and
widows in their distress.” The other, more personal reason involves my role in
caring for my mother, a widow diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of
58, in 2013. Because of her illness, I've personally lived the experience of
helping to provide care for someone in need. I’ve seen the impact that meeting
her needs has had on her quality of life for three years. I’ve also seen the
way it has impacted my family, my friends, and my own heart. From the time I
sit down at my desk every morning, I am driven to help, even in the smallest
measures—a phone call, a reassuring laugh, or empowering our caregivers to do
their job effectively—to meet needs for those who are struggling. I’m thankful
to play a small part in that process at Home Instead.
When not working, my home life with my husband and three children keeps me more
than busy, as we enjoy running our kids to and from practices, watching our
daughter play soccer, our son play baseball, and wrangling our two-year-old
sparkplug baby girl.
