Home Instead Grants $15,000 to Redwood Empire Food Bank's Brown Bag Program

While it is our mission to provide our clients with the best home care in Rohnert Park, CA we believe it is our duty to also support seniors throughout Rohnert Park and organizations that make it possible for older adults to get the resources and help that they need. Recently, our team donated $15,000 to Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB), enabling them to provide much-needed assistance to low-income seniors. The REFB serves 80,000 people in Sonoma County every month, and the grant will help them to continue their efforts to enhance the health and lives of aging adults and those who care for them.

The Brown Bag Program offers 30+ lbs. of nutrient-dense, fresh produce and healthy, staple food items to over 300 low-income seniors each month at 19 distribution sites throughout Sonoma County. The program also offers home delivery services so elders without transportation can also receive the support and care they need.

It is an honor to work closely with organizations, like the Redwood Empire Food Bank, as we work to improve the lives of people throughout the communities we serve. As our team at Home Instead strives to provide the best home care for our clients, we will not soon forget that we have so many other seniors who are still in need of our support.
