December 2025 Care Professional of the Month: Velandus
My name is Velandus, known as Vel. I spent 33 years with the U.S. Postal Service before retiring, but I felt called to continue serving others through elder care.
I worked closely with clients at a senior living facility, including those requiring dementia care and 24-hour care, and truly enjoyed building meaningful relationships. During COVID-19, I stepped into multiple roles to support residents and staff, taking on added responsibilities when needed to help keep operations running. I genuinely enjoy working with clients and take pride in providing compassionate, reliable care every day.
