Home Care Services FAQs

Many Home Instead Houma clients need hands-on assistance with the everyday activities that have become difficult to manage independently.

The specific support depends on the individual care plan. Our local team provides personal care and other in-home assistance based on what the person needs help doing safely.

This type of support is a significant part of the care we provide throughout the Bayou Region.

Our office has approximately 300 Care Pros, giving us a large local team serving people throughout the Bayou Region.

We also have four RNs on staff.

That staffing supports a range of care needs, including personal care, companion care, dementia support, respite, Veteran Care, end-of-life support, and 24-hour assistance.

Typically, yes. Home Instead Houma can generally begin care within 24 hours, depending on the individual’s needs and available staffing.

Our team first determines what assistance is needed and then coordinates Care Pros around that plan. The schedule can range from periodic support to more extensive in-home care.

Cost depends on the type of support needed and how much care is provided. Someone who needs periodic assistance with daily activities will have a different care plan from someone requiring 24-hour support.

Our Houma team can discuss the individual’s needs and proposed schedule with your family.
