On-Call Overnight CAREGiver

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services throughout Oldham and Jefferson Counties. Our services allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Our vision at Home Instead Senior Care is to help people live their best life in the face of aging.

We are seeking a Night Shift On-Call CAREGiver. This position can be full time or part time. The on-call need is from 7pm to 7am and you can choose the days you want (Monday - Sunday). 
 

As a Home Instead CAREGiver your job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Respite care
  • Assistance with walking and transferring
  • Meal preparation
  • Assist with any pet care
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Incidental transportation for errands, Dr. visits & recreational or social outings
  • Light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
  • Running errands
  • Assisting with eating

Qualifications:

  • Professional or personal experience caring for adults/seniors
  • Mentally and emotional mature
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
  • Be respectful and compassionate
  • Good time management skills
  • Previous experience in personal care and other related fields
  • Experience as a CNA/HHA is highly preferred

Client Care Assistant - CNA

Job Details

We have a rewarding position on our team for an experienced and dedicated CNA who will be working as our daytime Client Care Assistant . In this unique role, you will work 7am to 7pm as a caregiver for clients as needed. If not needed in the field, you'll work in the office to assist with administrative duties at from 8 am to 5 pm.  

The successful Client Care Assistant will:

  • Provide leadership for CAREGivers in the field by being a training resource and taking charge in difficult situations.
  • Be an ambassador for Home Instead Senior Care with its clients and in the community, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Have and maintain an active CNA license that remains in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
  • Be exceptionally skilled at performing the services we provide to our clients: assistance with personal care, assistance with ADL's, incontinence care, etc.
  • Be self-directed and stay busy.
  • Have the ability to start a shift as early as 7am and stay as late as 7pm. This means you must answer your phone starting at 6am, ensuring you can arrive to any shift by 7am. You should plan as though you will be working a 12-hour shift since you could be asked to work from 7am-7pm.  At a minimum, you will work from 8am to 5pm performing administrative duties in the office.
  • Be willing and able to work with all clients served by Home Instead and able to perform all functions required of a CNA.
  • While at the office, support all departments as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with all departments, office staff, CAREGivers and clients in a prompt manner.
  • Must be able to work in client(s) home may contain cigarette smoke
  • Must be able work in client home that has cat and/or dog.
  Qualifications:
  • Must have current C.N.A license or HHA license
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Reliable transportation, drivers license, and car insurance
  • Ok in homes with cats, dogs, and smokers
  • Must be able to travel to any client home that Home Instead serves

Job Details

The Bookkeeper is responsible for the daily billing and payroll operations of the company, to include the maintenance of accurate accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Assist the Controller in all aspects of the billing, payroll and benefit functions of Home Instead Senior Care, ensuring healthy financial management across the organization
  • Manage and minimize the company’s financial risk exposure by maintaining systems of internal controls
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Process payroll in a timely manner and in such a way to ensure employees are paid accurately
  • Manage the company’s benefits package for all employees, including eligibility determination, enrollment, reporting, and compliance with ACA & 401(k) regulations
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Participate in the office on-call rotation

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting including billing or payroll
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating a strategic vision into an operational model

Scheduling Lead

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care is searching for a Full-Time, Scheduling Lead. Must be able to work weekends. The Scheduling Lead is responsible to coordinate and maintain scheduling/staffing for Home Instead clients and staff.


Job responsibilities

  • Accurately staff clients with caregivers based on location, time, skills/needs, requests, personality, caregiver availability
  • Creates and maintains staff schedules
  • Enters scheduling data
  • Contacts staff and clients regarding day-to-day changes
  • Communicates staffing needs/gaps to management team
  • Consistently organize caregiver and clients issues. i.e. time off requests, questions, changes in schedule and/or availability, concerns.
  • Utilize our care management system to monitor caregivers for on-time arrival,manage clock- in/clock-out system, monitor activity logs, and update client and caregiver record
  • Participates in on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • Experience with scheduling in a home-health care environment highly desired
  • Computer skills including but not limited to Office, Excel and Scheduling programming
  • Excellent problem-solver with a positive attitude and collaborative approach
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to foster relationships with caregivers and clients
  • Proactive and adaptable.
  • Must have high level of phone etiquette
