Born & raised in Louisville, Becky and Brent were living in California when they discovered Home Instead Senior Care. After meeting with Sacramento-area Home Instead Senior Care Owner, Buck Shaw, the two decided to move back home to Louisville and Becky opened the first Home Instead Senior Care office in the state in May 1999. Both had the privilege of caring for an ailing grandparent and wanted to do something meaningful in their professional careers. Opening a business that serves seniors while also employing compassionate caregivers was perfect for them. Brent and Becky are honored to serve seniors and provide good jobs with excellent benefits to their staff. Their mission to help seniors and the employees who care for them has come to fruition.
Rob grew up in Louisville and attended the University of Kentucky where he received a Bachelor of Communication and Political Science as well as a Master's in Health Administration. He moved to Baltimore where he achieved a Master's in Education for Health Professionals at Johns Hopkins University. Rob has been in the health care industry since 2009. He realized his passion for helping others during his first job at a nursing facility. Rob also became keenly aware of the strong desire to be at home and decided that is what he wanted for his parents. Rob is proud to be a part of the Home instead team delivering quality care to seniors in Louisville and Oldham County.
Rob has been married to his wife Amanda since 2012, together they have two beautiful children, Shelton and Magnolia. Outside of the office he strives to spend as much time with his family as possible.
Nancy is a caregiver at heart and had the experience of caring for her mother and in-laws over the span of many years. Her family used Home Instead Senior Care's services for 10 years to assist her in-laws in their desire to stay at home. Nancy has a Bachelor of Education and a minor in Psychology and has worked 35 years in business development & managed care contracting. She joined Home Instead because she believes people should be able to age gracefully, wherever they chose and loves that we meet people on their own terms, in their own environment. As Chief Development Officer Nancy is excited to expand services and grow in a way that allows as many people as possible to have the compassionate care they deserve with our company and experience the difference Home Instead can make.
Nancy has twin daughters who attend Lake Forest College in Chicago and a son who attends Western Kentucky University. When she isn't living out her passion at the office she enjoys her dog Pearl, gardening and decorating.
Amy joined Home Instead after working as a DON an ADON in the long term care setting for over 20 years. Amy is excited to be working with individuals in the home setting and helping them have the highest quality of life possible in the environment they choose. Amy loves being with people but is especially fond of working with seniors. She and her
husband Duane have one son Evan, and enjoy spending time watching him play sports. They also have a four-legged family member, their dog Oscar.
Dorothy is originally from Bardstown and was born into a large family. The family pitched in and provided care for their parents as they aged. This caregiving experience helped her realize she was "called" to provide care to others. Dorothy worked in Med/Surge for 6 years and went to Galen College of Nursing. Her specialty is in caring for those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia, with a real focus on improving their quality of life by empowering their caregivers.
Dorothy believes in the mission of Home Instead Senior Care, and the importance of giving seniors the care and life they deserve.
Lynn has been a lifelong resident of Louisville and a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Lynn has enjoyed working with seniors and their families for over 20 years. Her experience in the healthcare industry ranges from working in the skilled nursing facility setting, to serving families making transitions to senior living communities, and now helping seniors live healthy, thriving lives in their own homes. Lynn takes great pride in helping families find the perfect solution for their aging care needs and is a great resource to the Louisville community.
Brought up in Louisville, KY where she graduated from UofL with a degree in Geography and Urban Planning. Stefanie's love for senior care started on a construction site where she oversaw a building project for a long -term care facility. Stefanie spent 8 years in long-term care before finding her home at Home Instead.
Stefanie's has a passion for caring for those with Alzheimer's and Dementia, working with families to make sure their loved ones are receiving the best care possible, and brainstorming creative solutions for any problems or issues that may arise. Stefanie and her husband, Steven, have two sons and enjoy watching them play baseball.
Eva has worked in the Healthcare Industry for over 20 years. She attended UofL but graduated from California State with a degree in Business Marketing and Administration. While out of the office Eva has a volunteer's heart and serves every weekend at Second Chances Wildlife rehabilitation, where she has been aiding wildlife preservation for the past 7 years. Eva has two beautiful grown children.
Shirley Mae and her husband Jim of 37 years have two grown children and are enjoying their first grandchild, Matthew John. She said his smile just makes her day. She attended Xavier University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
Shirley Mae was a practicing Funeral Director in the funeral industry for 30 years before coming to work at Home Instead Senior Care. She enjoyed the funeral home work as she felt it enabled her to serve people in their greatest time of need. Shirley Mae came to Home Instead Senior Care after meeting several of the company's representatives and being impressed with the compassion and care she saw demonstrated to the families they had served.
Shirley Mae decided to make a career change and now employs the skills she has used working through tough situations with hundreds of families over the years. She loves Home Instead's mission, "Enhancing lives through personalized solutions" as it matches her desire to serve people at a personal level. Shirley Mae is excited to be a part of the Home Instead Senior Care family.
