CAREGiver

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer’s Care
*No previous experience necessary - skills training provided by Home Instead Senior Care*

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance

Client Care Coordinator

Job Details

The Client Care Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties that relate to client care including care consultations with potential clients and family members, client/CAREGiverSM introductions and quality assurance visits with existing clients.

CCC's continuously evaluate the plan through a series of ongoing communications and visits to ensure high quality care, client satisfaction and retention as well as opportunities to increase service hours.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with potential clients and family members to discuss their needs.
  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations.
  • Maintain a consistent follow-up schedule with potential clients and families who have yet to commit to service.
  • Conduct client/CAREGiver introductions with each new client and with each new CAREGiver
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities to modify service plans to best support the ongoing needs of clients through a quality assurance program.
  • Work with clients and their families to ensure they are getting resolution to issues as well as receiving the services needed.
  • Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • One year of related office experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must have at least one year Caregiver or IHSS, or other professional in-home care experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle.
  • Applicants are subject to State Licensure Background checks.   
  • Must be at least 21 years of age      
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize ongoing work schedule
  • Must have the ability to listen effectively on the telephone or face-to-face
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone and face-to-face 
  • Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
 
  • Starting Salary: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour + mileage allowance
