Andy and Brittney are no strangers to caring for and serving people in their local community; with Brittney’s background in cosmetology and Andy’s in managing medical practices, their experience covers all ends of the spectrum. Their journey in senior care began at the Home Instead Global Headquarters in Omaha, NE. After witnessing the heart and soul put into equipping each Home Instead Senior Care franchise with the knowledge, training, resources and skills needed to effectively run the best senior in-home care company all across the world, they couldn’t wait to own a Home Instead of their own! Andy and Brittney relocated from Omaha to Lincoln in order to live and be available to the community in which they serve. They are blessed to be able to enhance the lives of seniors and their loved ones by providing unmatched in-home care as well as the opportunity to employ CAREGivers locally to live out their calling!

Traci Barnard, Client Care Manager

Traci joined Home Instead in August, 2015 as a CAREGiver.  It was at that time she found her passion in caring for seniors.  After working for 23 years as a X-Ray Technologist, she took an administrative position in the office as a Client Care Coordinator where she along with her team ensure our clients are receiving the BEST possible care they both deserve and need. She has continued to grow in her role and is now the Client Care Manager. 

Traci enjoys reading, people, and spending time with her family-children Tyson, Regan, and husband Craig.  There is nothing better than waking up every morning knowing you can change someone’s life forever.  We are making the bad days BETTER and the good days UNFORGETABLE!!

Jaala J, Client Care Coordinator

Jaala J, Client Care Coordinator Jaala joined Home Instead as a Client Care Coordinator. After several years in the medical management field, she couldn’t be more excited at the opportunity to improve the lives of seniors. Jaala has a true love for helping others! When not at the work Jaala enjoys country living with her husband and 3 dogs. Jaala has 2 boys that are both currently attending Wayne State College. She enjoys traveling and just spending any quality time with her family.

Brooke Babcock, Service Manager

Brooke Babcock, Service Manager

Brooke joined Home Instead Senior Care in January of 2015 as a Staffing Coordinator and has since been promoted to Service Manager. Brooke has her degree in Medical Administration and she has several years of experience working with seniors. Brooke oversees our Service Team as well as client & CAREGiver schedules and billing. She has a passion for developing strong relationships with our CAREGivers and clients and enjoys interacting with them on a daily basis.  Brooke is persistent in overcoming challenges as they arise and looks forward to the variety that her position brings every day. Brooke enjoys spending time with her two boys, her family, and her friends, whether that be at the lake, one of their sporting events, or just relaxing at home!

Sidney D, Service Coordinator

Sidney D, Service Coordinator Sidney joined our team as a Service Coordinator in November of 2020 where she will be a part of the scheduling team. Sidney will thrive in this position because of her deep values in companionship, compassion, connection and growth. Sidney has an extensive background in the developmental disability field as a caregiver, direct support professional and behavioral technician- therefore she is very familiar of what our CAREGivers do! In her free time she loves collecting houseplants, spending time with her family and friends, enjoying live music and traveling.

Cheryl Benes, Office Coordinator

Cheryl Benes, Office Coordinator

Cheryl is the friendly face who greets visitors to our office, answers and direct calls, and helps out wherever she is needed. She joined the team as an Office Coordinator in January 2nd, 2013. She loves visiting with clients, their families and CAREGivers when they call or visit the office! Cheryl truly loves working at Home Instead Senior Care and enhancing the lives of our Seniors!

Cynthia Workman, Human Resource Manager

Cynthia Workman, Human Resource Manager

​Cynthia joined Home Instead of Lincoln, NE in October of 2017.  She came on as a CAREGiver after moving back to Nebraska to be near her sons and their families.  She had worked previously for Home Instead in Cheyenne, WY as their Human Resources Manager.  After a year and a half as a CAREGiver, Cynthia began working as a Lead CAREGiver and then became the Human Resources Manager in April of 2020.  Cynthia loves working with seniors, hearing their life experiences and also working with CAREGivers to give them the training and resources necessary to provide the most excellent care to our clients! 

 When not at Home Instead, she loves being with her husband, Kevin, outdoors kayaking and hiking and all things Husker football!!   She enjoys going on 'explores' with her husband and visiting state historical sites as well as visiting the Nebraska State Parks!

Vicki Westling, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Vicki Westling, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Vicki joined Home Instead in November 2017 as part of the scheduling team. During that time she developed strong relationships with the CAREGivers and gained perspective on what it takes to make a great match between our clients and CAREGivers. Vicki has pivoted her role and now works even more closely with the CAREGivers as Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. She is ready to find the quality talent needed to care for our community and is sure to have fun while doing it! 

Born and raised in Lincoln, Vicki and her husband John raise three spunky girls - Danika, Ariana and Koraline. They love a new adventure!

Renee Johnson, Training Coordinator

Renee Johnson, Training Coordinator

​Renee has her Associates of Science, CNA, and is Certificate as a Dementia Practitioner. As Home Instead Senior Care’s Training Coordinator and Dementia Specialist, Renee is responsible for virtual training, Empower classes on line, as well as all in house classes, CAREGiver support groups, and community education. Her heart is for educating others about dementia so our CAREGivers, families, and community are all aware of the importance of how to care for a friend or family member with dementia. During her time off, Renee enjoys living life with her husband and three kids, being outside, husker football games, and traveling when able.

Diane Eriksen, Bookkeeper

Diane enhances the lives of our clients by making sure their bills are correct and easily understood.  She joined Home Instead team on May 18th, 2012. She has a degree in Accounting from UNL and years of experience keeping books for a family business. She is always willing to answer any question or explain an invoice.

Olivia Pesek - Social Purpose Intern

Hi! My name is Olivia Pesek, I am currently a senior at The University of Kansas. I joined Home Instead December of 2020 as the Social Purpose intern. I look forward to leading Home Instead to help our community through volunteering and giving back to create the best Lincoln. I am so excited to get started! I will be graduating this May with a Bachelors in Community Health, and a minor in Psychology. I played on the women's soccer team at KU before medically retiring my junior year due to injury. I have always had a passion for working in the healthcare field and caring for others. My goals after college are to love my job and be happy. In my free time I love to hang out with my dogs. I have a boxer mix, Luna, and a French Bulldog, Norman. We enjoy trips to the dog park, TJMaxx, and walks around Holmes lake. I come from a family of 5, being the middle child with two brothers. My boyfriend Dylan graduated last May and started his master's in Business Analytics. Fun facts about me are, I wanted to be the first women NFL referee when I was younger. Also, I dream of opening my own dog rescue after rescuing my boxer mix 2 years ago.
