Doug and Monica are Co-owners of the Lincoln Franchise of
Home Instead Senior Care. After being a “hands-on” owner for more than 14
years, he is now a “silent partner” and returned to his previous profession of
Funeral Director at a local funeral home.
Monica is active in the day-to-day operations of the business and has built an exceptional team to serve seniors in Lancaster, Saline and Seward Counties. Prior to being a co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care, she was an LPN, working primarily in home health since 1983. She currently has an inactive nursing license due to the great amount of time she spends at Home Instead Senior Care but, once a nurse, always a nurse! Over the past few years, her focus has been on refining her leadership skills and empowering her team to excel by using their strengths. Monica is a Founding Member of the John Maxwell Team of Coaches, Speakers and Trainers and enjoys fanning the flames of other people's dreams, as well as following her own!
Doug and Monica moved to Lincoln from Ohio in 1988 and raised their three children here, so Lincoln is home for their family! Their children are all grown now and live out of state but Doug and Monica take regular trips to visit them. When they built their home in 2005, they added an apartment for Doug's parents. Doug's mother passed away in 2008 but she was able to remain at home with hospice until the end-surrounded and cared for by her family. Doug's dad continues to live independently in the apartment. Enhancing the lives of other people's parents is a joy and a privilege.
joined the Home Instead team in January of 2017 as the General Manager. She has a love for
people, and enjoys serving our clients, CAREGivers, and staff on a daily
basis. Her background is in hospice, and
she is passionate about helping others through each stage of life’s
journey. Everyone’s path is unique, and
it is truly a gift to be a part of it.
Sarah joined Monica as a member of the John C. Maxwell Team of Coaches,
Speakers and Trainers in 2013, and it has been an awesome experience!
Sarah is originally from Holdrege, NE and moved to
Lincoln in 2001. She graduated from the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Psychology. Sarah and her husband, Rob have three
children – Sam, Reese and Addison. She
looks forward to enhancing the lives of others through Home Instead Senior
Cheryl is the friendly face who greets visitors to our
office, answers and direct calls, and helps out wherever she is needed. She
loves visiting with clients, their families and CAREGivers when they call or
visit the office! Cheryl truly loves working at Home Instead Senior Care and
enhancing the lives of our Seniors!
joined Home Instead Senior Care in May 2013. Her primary role is to partner
with individuals and families to work toward a common goal – for seniors to
live out their lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes through the
care and service of Home Instead Senior Care. Casey strives to ensure
relationships within the Lincoln Nebraska service area – from client to family
member to CAREGiver – are built on mutual trust, communication, connection and
respect. She leads new CAREGiver orientation and works with CAREGivers in
developing effective relationships building skills. Prior to joining Home
Instead Senior Care, Casey worked 6 years in hospice as a Volunteer Coordinator.
is passionate about investing in the abilities of people and believes having
the privilege to practice that investment on a daily basis is a gift. In her
free time Casey enjoys spending time with her 4 children, Addie, Trevin, Dane
and Drake and their dog Maude.
Traci joined Home Instead in August, 2015 as a
CAREGiver. At that time, she found her passion in caring for
Seniors. After working for 23 years as a X-Ray Technologist, she took an
administrative position in the office as a Client Care Coordinator where, along
with her team, ensures that our clients are receiving the BEST possible care
that they deserve and need.
Traci enjoys reading, people, and spending time with her
family-children Tyson, Regan, and husband Craig. There is nothing better
than waking up every morning knowing you can change someone’s life
forever. We are making the bad days BETTER and the good days
Amy joined Home Instead in March, 2016 as a CAREGiver.
She then accepted the Client Care Coordinator position in October, 2016.
She is passionate about our goal to enhance the lives of our clients and feels
blessed to work with a team of people that share that passion.
Amy loves spending time with her family, husband, Steve
and sons Sam and Adam.
Beth is excited to be a part of Home Instead Senior Care
as a Client Care Coordinator. She has a bachelor degree in business &
accounting and has been in the medical and Healthcare field for over 20
years. She was drawn to Home Instead as a place that shows compassion and
has a mission to serve those in need throughout the community. The people
we serve give more back than we could ever give to them. It is a pleasure and
honor to hear the stories of their lives.
Beth enjoys spending her free time with her husband
and family. They love the outdoors and traveling.
Lacey joined Home Instead Senior Care in May, 2016 as a
Home Care Consultant for the communities in Seward and Saline Counties.
Her role is multifaceted. She works diligently to build relationships
with referral providers and increase community awareness regarding the services
that are available through Home Instead Senior Care. Lacey also works
with families as a trusted advisor to assist them in making informed decisions
for their long-term care needs, which includes care coordination and continued
quality assurance visits.
Lacey’s love for the Senior population and continuous
desire to help others is what drew her to Home Instead Senior Care. She
obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of
Nebraska-Omaha and her Master of Science in Organizational Performance from
Lacey lives North of Seward, NE on an acreage with her
husband William, their children, and fur babies. Outside of work, Lacey
enjoys running, working out, horseback riding, and continuously chasing after
Ruhtana came to the Lincoln Home Instead office in July of
2011 from the Beatrice Franchise which she worked for 3 years. She oversees the
Staffing Coordinators to ensure that clients and CAREGivers schedules are in
sync and that everyone’s needs are met. With her years of experience at Home
Instead Senior Care she loves the mission that Home Instead follows! She enjoys
enhancing the lives of seniors, families, CAREgivers, and the

Brooke joined Home Instead Senior Care January of 2015 as
a Staffing Coordinator. Brooke strives to make perfect matches between
CAREGIvers and clients. She takes many things into consideration in scheduling
CAREGivers with clients-most importantly finding the right match to develop a
lasting relationship built on trust. She looks forward to coming in each day to
new and exciting challenges that reap great rewards.
Tammy Joined Home Instead Senior Care November 2016 as a
staffing coordinator. Tammy has worked in the Nursing and Medical field for
most of her career, and working with seniors has always been a true
passion. She loves working with the other coordinators to ensure they have the
ideal match, that’s why at Home instead she endeavors that clients and
caregivers experience exceeds their expectations and that is very rewarding and
fulfilling to her.
Sherry began her Home Instead Senior Care journey in
Richmond, KY in Sept 2010, as a Client Care Coordinator while also fulfilling a
passion as a volunteer for the Hospice of the Bluegrass. As her parents
aged, Sherry and her husband of 30 years, Bill, moved back home to Lincoln to
help them stay in their home. Sherry began as a Client Care Coordinator
in Lincoln in Nov 2015, and is currently a Coordinator in the Relationship
Enrichment Department interviewing and hiring the best CAREgivers our area has
to offer! Sherry enjoys walking her dogs,
reading and meeting new people!!
Rochelle joined Home Instead in March of 2014 as an
Evening/Weekend Scheduler. She now works as a Relationship Enrichment
Assistant. Her main role is to assist new CAREGivers during the hiring process
and to answer any questions they have. She enjoys welcoming new CAREGivers to
Home Instead and watching them enhance seniors’ lives.
Rochelle enjoys playing the piano, reading and traveling.
She has been married to her husband, Jeremy for 15 years and has two children,
Jake and Emmeline.
With a business degree from Nebraska Wesleyan
University, Merle brings extensive experience as a corporate accounting
manager. He is known for accuracy and
integrity. His objective is to bill clients and pay associates in a timely and
Diane works with Merle to enhance the lives of our clients by
making sure their bills are correct and easily understood. She has a degree in Accounting from UNL and
years of experience keeping books for a family business. She is always willing
to answer any question or explain an invoice.
