​Monica and I are Co-owners of the Lincoln Franchise of Home Instead Senior Care. After being a “hands-on” owner for more than 14 years, I am now a “silent partner” and returned to my previous profession of Funeral Director at a local funeral home.

I am active in the day-to-day operations of the business and have built an exceptional team to serve seniors in Lancaster, Saline and Seward Counties. Prior to being a co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care, I was an LPN, working primarily in home health since 1983. I currently have an inactive nursing license due to the great amount of time I spend at Home Instead Senior Care but, once a nurse, always a nurse! Over the past few years, my focus has been on honing my leadership skills and empowering my team to excel by using their strengths. I am a Founding Member of the John Maxwell Team of Coaches, Speakers and Trainers and enjoy fanning the flames of other people's dreams, as well as following my own!


Doug and I moved to Lincoln from Ohio in 1988 and raised our three children here, so Lincoln is home for our family! Our children are all grown now and live out of state but Doug and I take regular trips to visit them. When we built our home in 2005, we added an apartment for Doug's parents. Doug's mother passed away in 2008 but she was able to remain at home with hospice until the end-surrounded and cared for by her family. Doug's dad continues to live independently in the apartment. Enhancing the lives of other people's parents is a joy and a privilege.

​I oversee and manage daily operations for the business to ensure procedures are followed to provide quality care for our senior clients. I strive to make Home Instead Senior Care the employer of choice to establish a positive, appreciative environment for CAREGivers and staff.

I ensure that  clients and CAREGivers schedules are in sync with each other and that everyone's needs are met. I thrive on the challenge of putting the right CAREGiver with the right client. I use my strengths of patience and empathy, and get to live my passion through building relationships with CAREGiver's and clients.​

​I am one of the Staffing Coordinators. I work alongside Ruhtana diligently to select a cohesive team of CAREGivers for each client. I take many things into consideration in scheduling CAREGivers with clients-most importantly finding the right match to develop a lasting relationship founded on trust. I look forward to coming in each day to new and exciting challenges that reap great rewards.

I greet visitors, answer the phone, direct calls and assist the staff with whatever they may need so they are ready and able to do their best work! Normally, I am the first person who callers talk to when they call our office. I have a great deal of compassion for our seniors and I love being able to assist them. My primary responsibility is making sure all requests are handled courteously and promptly. I love working at Home Instead Senior Care and enhancing the lives of our seniors!​

I answer phones, greet visitors and generally just try and help out wherever I am needed. I love visiting with clients, their families and CAREGivers when they call or visit the office.​

My goal as the CARE Manager is to better the moments, days, and/or years of the Clients and Families that I am so blessed to work with.  This is not just a job for me. It is a true gift to work alongside an amazing group of CAREGivers and be part of a team that encourages, motivates and assists in enhancing lives every single day!  In addition I have the privilege of leading the Family Workshops and In-Sync for our CAREGivers.  I love Lincoln and the surrounding communities and love making a difference.


Casey Sova, Relationship Enrichment Coordinator

Casey Sova, Relationship Enrichment Coordinator

As the Relationship Enrichment Coordinator, I strive to ensure relationships with each of our CAREGivers are built on mutual trust, communication, connection and respect. I have the amazing opportunity to teach all initial training classes as well as coordinate and lead ongoing education for our CAREGivers. In addition, I serve as one of our Dementia CARE Specialists - training CAREGivers in caring for individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or other dementias. Investing in the abilities of people is a great passion of mine. Having the privilege to practice that investment on a daily basis is truly a gift.​


Merle Faubel, Part Time Bookkeeper

Merle Faubel, Part Time Bookkeeper
With a business degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, I bring extensive experience as a corporate accounting manager, and known for accuracy and integrity. My objective is to bill clients and pay associates in a timely and accurate manner.


Diane Erikson, Bookkeeper

Diane Erikson, Bookkeeper

​I have a degree in Accounting from UNL and years of experience keeping books for a family business. I work with Merle to enhance the lives of our clients by making sure their bills are correct and easily understood. I am always willing to answer any question or explain an invoice.
