Home Instead was so honored to be featured in the Lakeland Ledger for our "Be a Santa to a Senior" donation drive, which is a program to help the elderly who may be alone for Christmas.
This is our 12th year we've participated in "Be a Santa to a Senior"
The national Be a Santa to a Senior program was started 18 years ago to support those who may be isolated during the holiday season. Christmas trees are scattered at various locations throughout the city, where donations can be made to fulfill the wishes of seniors in need. Wishes include toiletries, clothing, pet supplies and even military paraphernalia!
The article even featured a quote from our owner, Kari Ann Gomez: "It’s kind of neat to see that a small simple gift can cheer them up, brighten their day and let them know that someone is still thinking about them!"
