It has been a phenomenal month filled with growth and learning as we strive to enhance our knowledge of home care. The ALZ STARS program, a joint initiative developed by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the Alzheimer's Association Florida chapters, aims to raise awareness about dementia and the resources available to Floridians. By participating in this program, we learned the 10 warning signs of dementia, the steps to receive an accurate diagnosis, tips on connecting with individuals who may have a cognitive impairment, and valuable resources provided by the Area Agencies on Aging and their Aging Disability Resource Centers.
