Meet Our Home Care Team
Elizabeth Wagner 2023

Elizabeth Wagner, Franchise Owner

Home Instead is personal to me because of the relationship I had with my grandmother. The joy and connection that we shared lives in my heart and lead me to have a genuine passion to work with seniors every day. I started my career with Home Instead as a caregiver in April of 2009. The thirteen-year journey has been a wonderful experience filled with meeting new people, helping families and their loved ones, and making a difference for seniors in our community. I’m honored to lead this team and we’re focused on providing high quality care to seniors so they can remain safe and happy at home.

Home Instead is personal for me for many reasons. The first and most important reason is connected to my faith. James 1:27 reminds me, “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God means caring for orphans and widows in their distress.” The other, more personal reason involves my role in caring for my mother, a widow diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of 58, in 2013. Because of her illness, I've personally lived the experience of helping to provide care for someone in need. I’ve seen the impact that meeting her needs has had on her quality of life for three years. I’ve also seen the way it has impacted my family, my friends, and my own heart. From the time I sit down at my desk every morning, I am driven to help, even in the smallest measures—a phone call, a reassuring laugh, or empowering our caregivers to do their job effectively—to meet needs for those who are struggling. I’m thankful to play a small part in that process at Home Instead.

When not working, my home life with my husband and three children keeps me more than busy.

 Michelle Schofield 2023

Michelle Schofield, Client Care Manager

Although new to this Home Instead team, I have over 8 years of experience working with seniors in a Home Care environment. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant with over 3 years of experience working in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. I am excited to work with this team, visiting and evaluating clients, ensuring they receive the exceptional and high-quality care we strive to provide each day. My favorite quote is by Fred Rogers, “There are three ways to ultimate success: the first is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.”

Alyssa Simmers 2023

Alyssa Simmers, Recruitment and Onboarding Manager

I chose Home Instead because of the wonderful, high-quality personal care they provide for those who need it the most. Home Instead is personal to me because of the relationships I have with my two grandmothers. After my grandmother started to be put on oxygen, my family and I were lucky enough to provide her with services that are very similar to the services provided by Home Instead. I knew how important it was for my grandma to stay in the comfort of her own home, just like many other seniors in need of some extra care. I am excited have the opportunity to build relationships with our wonderful clients and lovely caregivers at Home Instead through hiring and training. I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful team and the ability to make a difference in people's lives!

Cathy 2022 final

Cathy Wagner, RN

I have been a consultant for Home Instead for the past six years and recently retired from the Veterans Administration. This has allowed me to focus solely on Home Instead clients. I am a Registered Nurse with over 40 years of experience. Previously I have worked with patients in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation unit, primary care office, hospice, and home health care. I support the team with acute care clients, conducting quality assurance visits with clients to make sure they are receiving the best care possible. I also coordinate with local health care facilities and other community resources.

Adrienne Dilley 2023

Adrienne Dilley, Office Coordinator

I came to Home Instead at a time when I needed to make personal changes. One of the changes I knew I needed to make included where I spent a lot of my time – my job.  I wanted to make sure I was doing something that I loved, something that made me happy. I wanted to help make a difference in people's lives. I have cared for loved ones almost all my life I just knew it was something that I wanted and needed to do.  I started as a caregiver in August of 2021 and was promoted to Lead Caregiver shortly after. I split my time between being in office and in the field with our clients – the best of both worlds!
