Home Instead Senior Care is personal to me because of the relationship I had with my grandmother. The joy and connection that we shared lives in my heart and lead me to have a genuine passion to work with seniors every day. I started my career with Home Instead Senior Care as a caregiver in April of 2009. The nine-year journey has been a wonderful experience filled with meeting new people, helping families and their loved ones, and making a difference for seniors in our community. I’m honored to lead this team and we’re focused on providing high quality care to seniors so they can remain safe and happy at home.

My dedication, motivation, and passion brought me to Home Instead Senior Care. I am dedicated to doing all that I can to help people better their lives. My motivation in life is being able to see the impact I am making in the lives of others in my community. Finally, my passion for serving others drives me to go above and beyond in whatever I do. These are all qualities that I see in every member of my team. Everyone at Home Instead works tirelessly to provide phenomenal care not only to their clients but to their CAREGivers as well. I am excited to be part of such a caring and compassionate team that is truly unique in how much they do for others.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with our dog, Domino, home renovation projects, and cooking.

There are several reasons why Home Instead is personal to me. When my Great Grandmother passed away in 2017, my family was crushed. Our Matriarch was gone, and none among us felt that loss more than her primary caregiver, my Grandmother. After G.G. passed, my Grandmother found she felt cheated. Cheated because rather than having the privilege of being a DAUGHTER, she was bogged down with running errands, buying groceries, transporting to Doctor’s appointments, and even toileting assistance toward the end. She felt that she couldn’t come to JUST VISIT G.G. without these tasks looming. It is because of this experience and the lasting impact it’s left upon my family that I chose to stand in the gap. Just twenty days after G.G.’s passing, I applied at Home Instead Senior Care to become a caregiver. Since that day, my role within the company has changed a few times… but I’m still here doing exactly what I set out to do: providing rest, peace of mind, and the ability for family members to just be family again.

As the Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator I get to share my passion for seniors and seek out that same passion in others who want to help care for seniors in our community. I was first introduced to Home Instead Senior Care when I was looking to fill a void in my heart. I was living many miles away from my own grandmothers and was not able to be the one to provide the care they very much needed. I started as a part-time CAREGiver which allowed flexibility so I could be with my children, it has now grown into a career I love.

We have the opportunity to provide care and build relationships with those that need it the most. Spending time with our clients who have lived long fulfilling lives, overcome adversity, and look at life through a different lens teach me how to be a better woman, mother and wife. This is why I LOVE my job.

Being a part of a company is one thing, but having a family that thrive on the same passion that lives in my heart is why I cannot see my future without Home Instead Senior Care. I am very appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to be involved in our clients and CAREGiver’s lives.

Home Instead is personal for me for many reasons. The first and most important reason is connected to my faith. James 1:27 reminds me, “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God means caring for orphans and widows in their distress.” The other, more personal reason involves my role in caring for my mother, a widow diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of 58, in 2013. Because of her illness, I've personally lived the experience of helping to provide care for someone in need. I’ve seen the impact that meeting her needs has had on her quality of life for three years. I’ve also seen the way it has impacted my family, my friends, and my own heart. From the time I sit down at my desk every morning, I am driven to help, even in the smallest measures—a phone call, a reassuring laugh, or empowering our caregivers to do their job effectively—to meet needs for those who are struggling. I’m thankful to play a small part in that process at Home Instead.

When not working, my home life with my husband and three children keeps me more than busy, as we enjoy running our kids to and from practices, watching our daughter play soccer, our son play baseball, and wrangling our 4-year-old firecracker youngest daughter.

I was never close with my grandparents. I was not able to meet them on my dad's side and my mom's parents hardly wanted much to do with my family. Growing up, I was often envious of my friends who had warm, doting grandparents with whom they loved to spend time. Interestingly enough, fate brought me to Home Instead Senior Care a year after my last living grandparent had passed away. I was immediately taken by the genuine compassion felt mutually amongst staff, clients and CAREGivers. Being part of this team, I feel like I was finally given a platform to express a level of caring that I never had an opportunity to before.

As Home Care Consultant, I personally enjoy getting to know our CAREGivers and clients and what they hope to achieve from our services. I feel proud when I am able to make strong client/CAREGiver matches and later learn of how productive their time is together. I offer security and trusted care to our clients as well as help our CAREGivers grow in their own respective careers by taking the lead and staffing to the best of my abilities.

As a graduate of UIndy with a BS degree in Human Resources Management, I am performing duties I love by assessing CAREGiver skills, personalities, and personal/professional goals, and then seeing where they can shine best.

Home Instead Senior Care has already made a positive difference in my life and I plan to pay it forward with every client and CAREGiver I serve.

Home Instead Senior Care is personal to me because of my relationship with my grandparents. Not only did they raise me, but they made me who I am. My grandparents never let me forget to always be grateful. My grandfather's passing in 2016 was hard. Not only did I lose a father, I lost someone who in so many ways was my mentor. Caring for him, spending time with him, and listening to his stories and jokes will always be cherished memories for me. My grandmother is my guardian angel. Her patience, kindness, and caring spirit toward everyone has inspired me to be the caregiver, the mother, and the woman I am today.

I came to Home Instead looking for something new. It's always come natural for me to help others, and I wanted to use that gift to give back in a way that would make a tangible impact. Not only did becoming a Caregiver fill a void I didn't know I had, but I gained an extended family in the process. Although I am now in the office as one of two Staffing Coordinators, I'm still able to help in a variety of ways. I'm still able to visit and build relationships with our clients, and that is important to me. It's amazing to see how well our caregivers work together as a team and to witness how much of their heart goes into the care they provide. Seeing first-hand the amazing things this company has done and continues to do is why Home Instead Senior Care is personal to me.

Outside of my work, I'm a mother of two and I enjoy the simple things. Gardening, canning, and spending my days outdoors brings me peace of mind. I have a passion for photography, and I enjoy traveling.

I chose Home Instead because of the wonderful, high-quality personal care they provide for those who need it the most. Home Instead Senior Care is personal to me because of the relationships I have with my two grandmothers. After my grandmother started to be put on oxygen, my family and I were lucky enough to provide her with services that are very similar to the services provided by Home Instead. I knew how important it was for my grandma to stay in the comfort of her own home, just like many other seniors in need of some extra care. I am excited to begin to build relationships with both the wonderful clients and lovely caregivers at Home Instead Senior Care through staffing and scheduling. I cannot wait to be a part of this wonderful team and begin to make a difference in people's lives!

Before coming back to home health care, I had the opportunity to care for my terminally ill uncle. It was at his prompting, saying that I was wasting "what God gave me", that I made the decision to enroll in and complete nursing school. I joined the Home Instead team in 2014 and worked as a CAREGiver before I transitioned to the On Call Representative, where I provide after hour services to both CAREGivers and clients.

During nursing school, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, giving me even more motivation to help provide care for seniors to enable them to continue living at home. I completed nursing school in 2016 and obtained my LPN license.

I am the proud co-parent of two beautiful children, William and Saphyri. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and cooking.
