Keisah Felts, Client Care Coordinator
Home Instead is personal to me because of my relationship with my grandparents. Not only did they raise me, but they made me who I am. My grandparents never let me forget to always be grateful. My grandfather's passing in 2016 was hard. Not only did I lose a father, I lost someone who in so many ways was my mentor. Caring for him, spending time with him, and listening to his stories and jokes will always be cherished memories for me. My grandmother is my guardian angel. Her patience, kindness, and caring spirit toward everyone has inspired me to be the caregiver, the mother, and the woman I am today.
I came to Home Instead looking for something new. It's always come natural for me to help others, and I wanted to use that gift to give back in a way that would make a tangible impact. Not only did becoming a Caregiver fill a void I didn't know I had, but I gained an extended family in the process. Although I am now in the office as one of two Staffing Coordinators, I'm still able to help in a variety of ways. I'm still able to visit and build relationships with our clients, and that is important to me. It's amazing to see how well our caregivers work together as a team and to witness how much of their heart goes into the care they provide. Seeing first-hand the amazing things this company has done and continues to do is why Home Instead Senior Care is personal to me.
Outside of my work, I'm a mother of two and I enjoy the simple things. Gardening, canning, and spending my days outdoors brings me peace of mind. I have a passion for photography, and I enjoy traveling.
