John - February 2024 Caregiver of the Month
John is kind, caring, trustworthy, loyal and through. He provided support and companionship for one client over the last 5+ years, rarely calling off and increasing his hours needed when the client had a sudden change of condition. He allowed this client to stay home, independent, and well-cared for while also being intentional with their time together – by going to parks, walks, out to eat at restaurants and other adventures while also being able to maintain the client’s set routine (due to memory issues). We are so thankful for John’s kind heart and his willingness to share that with our clients.
Jane O. - 2023 Caregiver of the Year
Congratulations to our 2023 CAREGiver of the Year, Jane! Jane celebrated 10 years with Home Instead in January and has worked over 14,000 hours with countless number of clients. Delaney - January 2024 Caregiver of the Month
Delaney came to us from another Home Instead office and we were thrilled to gain her as a part of our Home Instead family. She is well liked by all her clients and willing to work with anyone, anywhere! While being one of our youngest caregivers, she does not allow her age to define her as a phenomenal caregiver. She is hard-working, often working more than 40 hours while also balancing a schoolwork load. We are lucky to have her on our team!
Dena - December 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Dena came to Home Instead in April 2023 with experience from other home care companies. She is caring, supportive, respectful, and professional. Dena is always willing to pick up all shifts that she is able to while balancing her personal life, which includes providing care for a family member. She was recently working a shift with a client and noticed that the client seemed off and not quite acting like herself. She insisted on calling emergency services and likely saved her client’s life that day! We are so thankful for her quick response and intuition!

Elizabeth - October 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Elizabeth has years of experience working with seniors but recently came aboard with Home Instead. She’s compassionate, intentional, and always willing to go above and beyond. We appreciate her can-do attitude and enthusiasm. Great work, Elizabeth!
Amanda - September 2023 Caregiver of the Month

Ariana C. - August 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Ariana has been with Home Instead since March of 2022 where she quickly made an impact on the clients around her. She has always been a dedicated and reliable caregiver who works hard for the people under her care. Recently, Ariana was involved in a car accident and made it to work the next day – no hesitation. When questioned about it, she said, “well, my clients still need me!” She always has a bright smile and stops by the office to say hello.
Emma - July 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Emma has been a member of our caregiving team since July 2022. Emma works as part-time caregiver but gives 100% to each client, during each shift. She is dedicated to the clients she serves, and they all wish she could visit more often! When working one-on-one with clients, it is imperative that you possess a patient, calm, and supportive demeanor – and Emma has all those qualities. Thank you, Emma, for continuing to change the face of aging!
Carolyn - June 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Carolyn has been a part of our Home Instead family since August 2022 but came with several years of experience. Carolyn is willing to go to any of our clients, no matter how challenging, to ensure everyone is treated with dignity and respect. She has offered support, quality care and a smile to many of our clients over the last year. Thank you, Carolyn!
Cierra - May 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Cierra has been a member of our caregiving team since September 2022. She is a nursing student and came to Home Instead to gain valuable experience in working one on one with clients. She has been a joy to each person she works with - often being requested to come back. Thank you for being a part of the Home Instead family and changing the face of aging for seniors in Indianapolis!
Donna - April 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Donna has been a caregiver with Home Instead since August of 2016 after caring for her own mother. She is full of love, compassion, and has a drive to go above and beyond for those she cares for. From working long past her availability, to the communication and advocacy she displays daily, she exceeds our expectations every single day. It is obvious that she genuinely cares about the health and well-being of her clients and we are so thankful that she is a part of our team!
Tammy - March 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Tammy has been a valuable part of our team for almost a year! We couldn't ask for a more patient, loving, and compassionate person to care for clients. Tammy is outgoing, fun, and has a way of bringing the fun out in her clients with crafts and fun activities – even bringing them puzzles and games she purchased specifically for her clients. Before a recent storm, she prepared her client for inclement weather by making a makeshift bed in the client’s basement with blankets, pillows, food, water, candles and even a five-gallon bucket for a toilet in case it was needed.
Stephanie - February 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Stephanie has been an invaluable part of our team since July 2022. Each week, she encounters several clients that require special care and attention. She is mindful, stays on top of their health concerns, and always brings changes and concerns to the office. She is considerate, caring, and loyal. Stephanie is soft spoken but has great communication and relationship with the clients and office staff.
Sadasha - January 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Sadasha made a very strong impact in the lives she reached as a Caregiver. She came here with experience and appreciated the involvement of office staff, support, and information provided to accomplish her caregiving duties. Sadasha was a steady and reliable companion for her clients. She valued being someone they could rely on when they had no one.
Sicily - 2022 Caregiver of the Year
Coming up on her 6th anniversary, Sicily has provided over 10,000 hours of care for Home Instead clients! Sicily makes an impact with each of the clients she meets – intentionally building relationships from day one. She is patient, compassionate and very dependable. Even if she is only going to be a few minutes late (and almost always outside of her control!), she alerts office staff so that her clients know she is on her way! Sicily has always gone above and beyond for her clients, whether that means staying after her shift to attend a Fish Fry with a client, or staying overnight with a bedbound client during a snowstorm to ensure that the client wouldn’t have to go without care (twice)! Sicily is humble and kind and we are so thankful she is a part of our Home Instead Family.
Tori - December 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Congratulations to our December Caregiver of the month, Tori! When asked about her experience with Home Instead, this is what she had to say. “To me there is more to Home Instead than just my shifts with my clients. I love my team at the office, and their heart they have for anyone involved in the program. Caregiving to me is helping others fulfill the life they can’t by themselves. I enjoy taking care of people no matter what that looks like.. I look forward every day to take on new tasks, taking stress off my client, and soaking in companionship. Melanie - October 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Congratulations to our October Caregiver of the Month, Melanie! She has been providing over 12,000 hours of care to our seniors since December of 2007! Melanie is dependable, trustworthy and brave! We are incredibly honored to have her as part of our Home Instead family.

I was raised to be kind and helpful whenever I could especially to those with special needs as I had an aunt with Down’s Syndrome.
I love the variety of people I have met and helped. I try to make them smile and make their journey a little easier. They also do the same for me!
I have met so many interesting and awesome people, clients and office staff included. I would never have met and interacted with so many new people had I not been doing this.
I started with Home Instead almost ten years ago after retiring from Methodist Hospital, and then watching my infant granddaughter for two and a half years. I wasn’t quite ready to completely retire, and this position appealed to me. I’m still not “quite ready” to retire completely and hope to do this as long as I can

Reason I like working for the company is the care that comes from the office.
Everyone there seems to not only have concerns of the clients, but also the employees. What drives me is the love I have for helping others, and the fact that this is not just a job, but a desire to care for those in need.

I enjoy working with people and most times I enjoy jobs I can have one-on-one interaction with the person I'm caring for. Also, I enjoy taking care of my grandma both my dad and mom as well and I would like to help others in the same way.
What do I like About working here
(I)What I like about working here as a care giver is mostly about my work-life balance I love that I have a great degree of control and freedom within my job. I work full-time on a flexible schedule, both in and out my county, and the company trusts me to produce high-quality work and results. Lanyece - April 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Lanyece worked for Home Instead for 7 short but powerful months. In that time, she was assigned to our most high needs clients and touched the lives of both client and family. Caregiver was very reliable, dependable, and detailed when it came to communication making for a prime candidate for our Lead Caregiver position. Accountability, integrity, loyalty, and respect are values that drive her. She was a professional caregiver that wanted more for herself and others. Very attentive to clients and blossomed in leadership, care and, charisma. She always praised office staff for always being helpful and there to support her which made it easy to love what she did daily.

Values that have always driven me. I'm not a Quitter and I will do my best to Accomplish my goals, even if it takes me a moment to complete.
What I like most about the job is I can talk to my managers and staff, and they respond back to me. Communication is key. Yes, I know it's about the residents but most importantly it's about relationship with staff.
Yes, the job has had an impact on me in a good way. Then there's been some crazy emotional ways lol, but it's all good. If you’re teachable, then you will learn to be quiet and focus on your surroundings and be taught.
Past experience has taught me to speak up in a way, which is good for me, because normally I don’t speak up until the last minute. With this job you must open your mouth because if you don’t the client will say things, and you be like um…what, when, where, how, who, LOL. Or a caregiver or someone will say something, and it be like, “hold up, wait a minute!” LOL.

What I like about working for HI is that you really are treated like family. Home Instead treats their caregivers with the same loyalty and respect and care as they do their clients.
Home Instead has taught me that there really are companies out here that really do care not just about their clients, but about their employees as well and that has made it easier for me to be able to learn and grow and become a better caregiver.
I have spent my whole life caring for family members it is just something I have always done and enjoyed doing. I think it has made me love respect and value life. Its taught me patients and how to live life to the fullest.

Fabrianne - January 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Values that drive me: Treat others how I want or need to be treated especially on my worst days. How others choose to treat me will not change my views on how I'll still treat them or others. As I choose to be an example instead of a victim.
Family is first, and it's hard to balance. Helping others when your family would benefit from your time but talking it over and having support and understanding makes helping others a family choice!
If everyone helped one homeless animal, spay, or neuter, and find them a home or feed them then we would not have the homeless animals, but I'll not get started on homelessness so... lol!
I like working at Home Instead for many reasons. One being that it's definitely paying it forward. Being a caregiver opened my eyes to the lack of options we have when we're elderly... or disabled... especially if without family. I am very aware of how control is taken. For the most part from those who are unable to care for themselves. There's such a vulnerability that alarms me. I find myself wondering of ways I could make a change, but there are no easy answers. So, while I can't make a huge change, I do find that a change or an impact can be made. To some, a small thing done by me can be a huge thing to another!
I've learned to be mindful of that as well as remembering that many of those we provide care for are not their best selves as they've often

Grace M. - July 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Grace M. joined the team in May and has had a tremendous impact in just a small amount of time! Grace wanted to get into the caregiving field because she wanted a more fulfilling career. Since she has started, she is vigilant in the needs of her clients and calls the office frequently with updates or concerns. Her willingness to work with any client at the drop of a dime shows a true passion for caring for her clients. When she isn't making an impact in her clients’ lives, she enjoys drawing and playing video games. Thank you for all you do, Grace!
Alexia R. - June 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Alexia R. joined the team in February and has been a joy to her clients since then. This is because she looks forward to the feeling of knowing she is helping her clients by just listening or doing tasks they can no longer do independently. Hannah, the Home Care Consultant, said that she “is always eager to learn and try anything” to make her clients more comfortable. Karina - May 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Karina joined the team in January and has made a huge impact in the lives of her clients in that small amount of time! This may be because Katrina wants her clients to be treated the way they should be. Karina has stepped into some challenging situations without hesitation and provided outstanding care. Hannah, the Client Care Coordinator described her as “someone who goes above and beyond for her clients and always jokes with them to help lighten a tough situation.” Thank you Karina!
Diana - April 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Diana joined the team in December and has hit the ground running. Diana takes the time to make sure to learn about her clients and their needs and is proactive in communicating changes in her client’s conditions with the office. Her client Joyce, really likes her outgoing and hardworking attitude and the family appreciates the compassion she has given to their mother. Thank you Diana for all that you do!
Rebecca C. - March 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Rebecca C. was new to Caregiving when she joined the team in November of last year. Since then, she has jumped in, going wherever and whenever she is needed. When asked by her client, Susan, how Rebecca does, she had this to say: “Rebecca is just fantastic! I hope she enjoys being around me as much as I do her, when I know it is her day to come, I think ‘oh thank the lord’ because we have so much fun together.” Thank you for all you do, Rebecca!
Sherry A. - February 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Sherry A. has been with HISC for almost 2 years and in that time has provided outstanding care to her clients. Not only do her clients love her, but so do the clients’ families. Her client’s son, Don, had this to say of Sherry, “if we could get Sherry 24/7, we would. She is more like family to us because they do so well together. We think she is amazing!” Sherry loves her clients as well, in a recent interview, she said she loves putting a smile on their face, because she knows she’s doing a good job!
Nakita B. - January 2021 Caregiver of the Month
Nakita B. has been with HISC for over 2 years and in that time has provided outstanding service to her clients. One client, Rita, had this to say about her, “Nakita is just tops! She is a genuinely good person and I look forward to when she comes for her shifts because I can see she cares about me.” One interesting fact about Nakita is that the movie Men of Honor, a film about the true story of Master Chief Petty Officer Carl Brashear, the first African American master diver in the United States Navy, is about her uncle!
