On-Call Supervisor-After Hours

On-Call Supervisor--After Hours Make a Difference in Seniors lives! Home Instead is looking for an after-hours On-Call Supervisor/Scheduler that will answer and handle incoming calls on an on-call phone on rotating weekends (Fri 430p-Mon 8am). Position is rotating weekends-Fri, Sat, Sun. There may be weekdays available periodically if interested. Position is work from home, but requires picking up materials at our Frederick office. Excellent phone etiquette, communication, problem solving skills and customer service is a must. Individual must live within 30 minutes/miles of Home Instead office in Frederick, Md. This position would alternate with other staff for weekends. Applicants are required to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and have a clean driving record. Primary Responsibilities: • Prior to start of on call shift, review schedule with designated Service Coordinator and become aware of any potential trouble spots that might arise. • Obtain resources needed for on call responsibilities such as mobile phone along with any paper resources deemed necessary at the office. • Answer calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner and respond quickly to their needs. • Fill all open Client shifts due to changes in schedules following designated office scheduling processes. • Communicate changes in Client Shifts to the Client(s) and Caregiver(s). • Contact backup person when questions arise about clients or Caregivers that require input. • Communicate client and Caregiver concerns or problems with designated back-up key player. • Monitor and log both client and Caregiver activity and follow up on Caregiver assignments and client service in the operating system. • Field new client & Caregiver inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner • Create a log of the activities of your shift and communicate that to the Service Coordinator/General Manager • Return resources to the office following your shift. • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and Caregivers • Ensure Home Instead standards are met and upheld Secondary Responsibilities: • Perform CAREGiving duties for seniors when emergencies arise in extreme situations • Perform any and all other functions deemed necessary Each Home Instead franchise is independently owned and operated Each Home Instead franchise is independently owned and operated.
