For older adults, reading is one of the best ways to keep the brain sharp. That’s why the Home Instead team is excited to find local events that make it easy for Chesapeake seniors to get out and stock up on some fun new reads!
This month, the Chesapeake Central Library is hosting its monthly Friends of the Library Book Sale on Saturday, January 17th from 10am to Noon. Browse a massive selection of books at bargain prices. There is something for every age and interest. The sale will be held in the Large Meeting Room at the Chesapeake Central Library, 298 Cedar Rd. If you’re a member of the Friends of the Library (FOL), you can get in a bit early at 9am and get first pick of the shelves! Best of all, every purchase helps fund library special events and early childhood initiatives right here in our city.
