Honoree Aniya Makes an Immediate Impact After 2 Months

Home Instead® of Midland-Odessa, Texas, was a perfect next step in Aniya Goodley’s professional journey, and Aniya hit the ground running after joining the award-winning franchise April 6, 2026. Two months later, she was honored as Home Instead’s Care Professional of the Month, Recruitment and Engagement Advisor Rozephyr Jean announced.

Rozephyr added: “Aniya has already made an incredible impact. Since coming aboard our team, she has maintained perfect attendance, has had no call-off shifts and consistently accepts additional shifts on top of her regular schedule whenever her help is needed. Feedback from her clients has praised Aniya as ‘outstanding.’ Their words reflect Aniya’s dedication, compassion and commitment to providing exceptional care. We are grateful to have Aniya as part of the Home Instead Midland family and look forward to all she will accomplish in the coming weeks and months.”

Aniya has been the perfect addition to an already strong Care Pro lineup at the franchise owned by William and Lorena Shensky. Aniya humbly said: “Although I am still fairly new to the role, I have enjoyed the experience so far and have learned a lot about providing quality care, building relationships with clients and supporting their daily needs.”

Aniya found Home Instead through a job website while searching for opportunities in healthcare. “I decided to work for Home Instead because I wanted to continue helping and caring for others, which is something I enjoy from my nursing experiences,” Aniya said. “Additionally, a family member encouraged me to try caregiving. After learning more about Home Instead, I felt it would be a great way to make a positive difference in people’s lives while continuing to build my healthcare skills.”

Aniya’s professional background is in healthcare. She attended Midland Medical Assistant School, and she is attending a local college while pursuing a nursing degree. “Through my education and training,” Aniya explained, “I have developed skills in patient care, communication and providing support to patients. I am passionate about helping others and continuing to grow my experience in the healthcare field.”

She has not served as a family caregiver for a parent or grandparent, but she spent most of her life with her grandmother. Aniya said: “Being close to my grandmother taught me the importance of patience, compassion and supporting others. Our relationship helped me develop a strong appreciation for caring for people and contributed to my interest in pursuing a career in healthcare and caregiving.”

In addition to Aniya’s strong companionship skills, she provides safety assurance, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation and errands. She offers personal assistance with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, incontinence care, cognitive impairment, hospice support and mobility. By expertly doing so, Aniya not only assists her clients, but helps their families eliminate worry, reduce stress and re-establish personal freedom.

“What I like most about being a Home Instead Care Professional is the flexibility of putting together my own schedule and receiving the opportunity to meet new people. I enjoy building relationships with clients, learning from their experiences and being able to make a positive difference in their daily lives while maintaining a schedule that works for me,” Aniya said.
