Wreaths Across America is a national movement with a simple mission: Remember, Honor, and Teach. Each December, volunteers gather across the country to place fresh wreaths on the headstones of fallen veterans. It is a way to guarantee that the names of those who served are never forgotten.
At Home Instead, we are always looking for ways to support the veterans, which is why we are proud to spotlight the Annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony on Saturday, December 13th, at 9am. This local event is synchronized with the national ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
During the event, volunteers will place wreaths on the graves of veterans laid to rest at Garden Cemetery (1536 Douglas Avenue). It is an experience that brings families, veterans, and neighbors together to pay their respects. We encourage everyone to join this meaningful ceremony and help us honor those who gave so much for our freedom. It is a powerful way to start the holiday season with gratitude and community spirit.
