September 2026 Care Professional of the Month: Pracel
We are proud to recognize Pracel as our Care Professional of the Month for September 2026!
My name is Pracel, and what inspired me to become a Care Professional was my grandmother. I cared for her before and during COVID-19, even leaving my job so I could be there for her. I helped her with everyday tasks, kept her company, and made sure she had everything she needed. Those moments became some of the most meaningful memories of my life.
After she passed away, I asked myself, “What if I could do for others what I did for my grandmother?” That question inspired me to pursue a career in Elder Care and led me to Home Instead.
One experience with a client has always stayed with me. We spent time talking about his favorite hobby, collecting action figures, and shared laughs while remembering the good old days. When he thanked me, I realized that simply being present, listening, and offering companionship can mean so much.
That moment continues to motivate me as a Care Professional. Whether I am providing Dementia Care, helping with daily activities, or simply being there for someone, I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference. My grandmother inspired me to begin this journey, and her memory continues to inspire me every day.
