August 2026 Care Professional of the Month: Dorothy
We are proud to recognize Dorothy as Care Professional of the Month. After retiring from her previous career as an Office Manager, Dorothy was ready to embark on a new chapter. She first discovered her natural ability and desire to care for others while supporting her own loved ones. Since joining Home Instead, Dorothy has taken that same compassion and dedication and extended it to every client, family member, and office team member she encounters.
Since her early days with Home Instead, Dorothy has been entrusted to provide elder care to two very different individuals. Over the course of a year, she has built meaningful and lasting relationships with both clients while adapting to their unique personalities, needs and levels of care. Whether she is caring for a rather independent individual needing companionship, or an individual requiring heavy hands-on care, she will deliver the level of care they require. Her impact also reaches our Veterans who may need light and encouragement in their life, or an individual living with Dementia in need of cueing.
Dorothy’s impact extends beyond her clients and is equally appreciated by the office team for her professionalism, dependability, and easy-going personality. Every interaction is warm and welcoming. Dorothy makes herself available to provide 24/7 care for her clients, as they often add additional shifts outside of their regular schedule.
