As we age our nutritional needs change. For many older adults, managing conditions like diabetes becomes an important part of maintaining long-term health. If you or a loved one is looking to learn more about healthy eating and diabetes, we’ve found a local event worth checking out.
The Diabetes Education and Nutrition program will be on Saturday, December 6th, from 1 to 2pm at the Vigo County Public Library, 2200 North 13th Street. You will learn how to manage diabetes through nutrition and lifestyle choices, and you ask your own questions. Space is limited, so be sure to call the 12 Points Library at 812-645-3625 to register. Registration opens on November 8th!
At Home Instead, we’re always happy to share resources that help our local seniors stay informed and healthy. Events like this one remind us that taking small steps toward understanding our health can make a big difference in day-to-day life. As we continue to provide the best home care in Terre Haute, IN, we’ll keep shining a light on community programs that support lifelong wellness.
