Home Instead loves engaging with our community and encouraging senior neighbors to get up and move! Recently, Dalton Reid led a Tai Chi class at the Villas of Holly Brook, and the residents absolutely crushed it.
Tai Chi is great for seniors because it's gentle on the joints and offers HUGE health benefits. If you practice regularly, it can improve posture, core strength, and even reduce the risk of falls by nearly 50%! During the session, Dalton guided the group through a series of "meditation in motion" exercises. The class focused on breathing and standing up successfully. These practices help build the leg strength for everyday independence.
