Recently, a sweet little "Santa’s helper" stopped by the Home Instead office and carefully looked over the ornaments on our Be a Santa to a Senior (BASTAS) tree. Watching her small hands choose a tag was a beautiful reminder that you’re never too young to make a difference in someone’s life.
In the spirit of the season, Home Instead locations everywhere host this program to support local seniors who may be feeling a bit isolated or don't have family nearby to celebrate with. Be a Santa to a Senior is a way to show our older neighbors they are loved. It also makes the perfect family activity! Bring the kids along to pick an ornament and shop for a senior to start a new holiday tradition of kindness.
How to Participate:
- Stop by our office at 631 E Springhill Dr, Terre Haute, IN
- Pick an ornament from our tree. Each features a local senior’s first name and a wish list
- Buy the items and return them to our office so we can get them delivered in time for Christmas!
