Our Social Purpose

Our social purpose starts in Fort Collins, CO but it carries on across the world.

The Home Instead network works to create a world where people own their aging journeys. We want all generations to age on their own terms, authentic to who they are as unique individuals, and connected to things that provide them with purpose.

This vision drives us to expand the world’s capacity to care.

Giving Back

Home Instead helps older adults age with greater hope and success whether they're our clients or not. Because we believe everyone deserves to age with grace and dignity, we strive to make that vision a reality by creating a world that's ready to care for each other.

From our involvement with the Walk to End Alzheimer's or our holiday give-back program, Be a Santa to a Senior, Home Instead is out to make a difference.

Home Instead Celebrates 25 Years of Serving Northern Colorado's Older Adults with Community Fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado

Public invited to Odell Brewing Co. on May 17 for an afternoon benefiting families facing Alzheimer's disease

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — May 13, 2026 — Home Instead of Northern Colorado will mark 25 years of in-home care for older adults with a community celebration at Odell Brewing Co. on Saturday, May 17, from noon to 4:00 p.m. The free event will raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado, which supports the more than 91,000 Coloradans currently living with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers.

Since 2001, Home Instead has provided companionship, personal care, and specialized memory care to thousands of families across Larimer County and the surrounding region, helping older adults age safely and comfortably in their own homes.

"For 25 years, we've had the privilege of walking alongside families during some of life's most tender chapters," said Kristin Dahlquist, Franchise Owner and CEO of Home Instead of Northern Colorado. "So many of the families we serve are touched by Alzheimer's and dementia. Partnering with the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado to mark this milestone is our way of giving back to a community that has trusted us with their loved ones for a quarter of a century."

The May 17 event at 800 E. Lincoln Avenue will feature live music, food trucks, drink tickets and more with proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado to help kickoff their 2026 Walk Season. The celebration is co-hosted by Odell Brewing Co. and The OBC Wine Project.

Those unable to attend can contribute directly by joining our Walk team or donating at https://tinyurl.com/yz9y79p4.
