It's easy to see why so many seniors and older adults call Burlingame home. There are so many resources to keep us healthy as we age, and the Home Instead team loves to take the time to call them out so you can take advantage of every opportunity to keep living as well as you can. This summer, a spectacular local event is bringing fitness and preventative care together under one roof.
The Age Well Health Fair 2026 is Saturday, August 8th, from 10am to 1pm, at the Peninsula Health Care District Health & Fitness Center, 1875 Trousdale Drive. There will be tons of free health screenings with no fasting or preparation required, including non-invasive bone density tests, glucose checks, dental screenings, foot exams, and lung function tests. Certified personal trainers will also be on hand to offer low-pressure fitness assessments covering everything from balance to body fat percentage.
In addition to the medical checkups, there will be hourly raffle drawings and complimentary fitness sessions such as Fall Prevention, Chair Yoga, Chair Pilates, and Chair Zumba. The first 100 seniors aged 60 and over who complete at least three activities will take home a complimentary Burlingame Farmer's Market voucher!
