Ever looked at a jammed thread or a tangled bobbin and immediately decided to put the project back in the closet? We have all been there! Sewing can feel intimidating at first, but Home Instead found a workshop at our local library that takes the guesswork out of getting started.
The Sewing Machine Basics program takes place on Thursday, September 10th from 1:30 to 3pm at the Foster City Library, 1000 East Hillsdale Boulevard. This session gives beginners a step-by-step introduction to operating a Baby Lock Jubilant machine. You will get comfortable threading the machine, winding and loading the bobbin correctly, and practicing essential stitches under helpful guidance. Registration is not required, but seating is first-come, first-served, so arrive a few minutes early.
As we strive to provide the best home care in Foster City, CA, we love sharing local events that encourage older adults to try new hobbies, build confidence, and enjoy time out in the neighborhood. Grab a friend, family member, or caregiver and come spend a fun, creative afternoon at the library!
