Dementia is a challenge that no one should have to face alone, which is why connecting people to helpful resources is so important. Our team at Home Instead hosted a Dementia Friends information session at the Avondale Resource Center, creating a space for people to share, learn, and feel truly seen.
Our team discussed dementia, exploring its impact on both individuals and families. We also shared helpful resources to assist families in confidently navigating the challenges that come with it. One highlight was our upcoming free Memory Café, designed for those living with memory loss and their care partners. These meetings offer a space where people can learn, connect, and share experiences.
We want to thank the incredible partners who made this event possible, including Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, Hacienda Del Rey Assisted Living and Memory Care, Meals on Wheels America, Hospice of the Valley, the City of Avondale, and all Action Team members like Helena, Julie, and Jennifer. Community is one of the strongest tools we have, and every person in the room brought something valuable.
