The need for in-home senior care team services doesn't always arise between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. ​In 2004, Kristi started the current Home Instead office in Seattle. Ten years later she expanded her organization to include working in Shoreline and Mountlake Terrace.  In her role she works with clients, their families and employees to ensure needs are being met and everyone is happy.  You may find her rolling out new training programs to meet the needs of her staff and the clients; working with outside agencies to ensure Home Instead is properly insured and licensed and standards are met; compiling data on aging in place to share with the community; or simply answering the phone while in the office and taking care of the needs of the customer.  It brings a smile to her face to know that she and her team are enriching the lives of seniors and their families in the community she calls home.  Prior to starting Home Instead, Kristi worked for 15 years in Risk Management and has years of personal experience supporting her own family through the aging process.  Having graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University with a degree in Organizational Communication, in 2006 she hit the books again and received her Certified Senior Advisor designation. In her free time, you'll find her enjoying her own family, working on the farm with horses and chickens, gardening, cooking and traveling. 


Shawna – Home Care Consultant

Shawna – Home Care Consultant

​Shawna works tirelessly within the Seattle community consulting with families, clients and CAREGivers as she develops a plan of care for each client. In addition, Shawna works in the community to recruit our great team of CAREGivers.  She has worked at Home Instead Senior Care since 2008, and started with our team as a CAREGiver.  Her talants and care for others were apparent, and we were thrilled to have her as our HR Manager for years!  This prior work in home care gives her wonderful insight in her current role as a Home Care Consultant.  After graduating from the University of Washington in English Literature, Shawna discovered her passion for seniors when caring for 95-year old “Grammy.”  In Shawna’s free time she loves to travel, spend quality time with friends and family, root for the Huskies and Seahawks, volunteer at her church, and cook using vegetables grown in her own garden.​


Lynn, Home Care Consultant

Lynn, Home Care Consultant

​In her role as a Home Care Consultant, Lynn is responsible for client satisfaction and ensures that our promises to clients and CAREGivers are being fulfilled.  She consults with clients and families in their homes, conducts educational workshops in the community, and works with CAREGivers in the training department to ensure they have all the necessary tools to provide exceptional care.  In addition, you’ll find her working with clients and their families developing a personalized plan of care.  Lynn has worked with seniors for over 15 years. What started as a part time receptionist position at a local retirement community turned into a promotion as resident services director, and eventually brought her to Home Instead Senior Care. She loves her work because it allows her to build relationships with clients and their families. Lynn received her BA in English and Writing from Western Washington University and is also paralegal.  When not at work, she enjoys fitness activities, nutrition, acting, reading, volunteering and is an aspiring radio personality. ​


Gail, Office Manager

​With over 15 years in the senior care industry, Gail has worn many hats over the years.  She has worked in marketing, billing, scheduling and caregiving – something she still spends time doing when not in the Seattle Home Instead office.  Gail enjoys her job as our Office Manager because it allows her to support and provide quality service to the caregivers, clients and their families. The job of Office Manager is complex and requires juggling the various needs of both caregiver and client. One of the things Gail enjoys most about her job is the daily problem solving she is tasked with. When not managing the schedules of over 100 caregivers, Gail spends her time cooking – her specialty is Indian influenced food such as eggplant bharta and chicken curry.  Originally from Texas, she is still a southern girl at heart and always makes time for what she loves the most - her family and Boxer/Shepard mix dog Tyson. 


Ena, Weekend Supervisor

Ena, Weekend Supervisor

​Ena answers the afterhours / emergency phones during weekend hours and ensures that service is delivered 24 / 7 as scheduled.  Since 2007, Ena has been spending her weekends helping Home Instead Senior Care clients and CAREGivers.  Whether it’s a simple phone call to answer questions about our service or a client emergency, Ena oversees the process.  Having a background in the US Navy, keeping everything organized and handling emergencies comes naturally for Ena.  When she’s not working, Ena enjoys spending time with her family exploring the Northwest and is very active in the local Samoan community.​


Susana, After Hours Staffing Coordinator

Susana, After Hours Staffing Coordinator

​Working the afterhours / emergency phones and as a fill-in CAREGiver during the weekdays is a natural fit for Susana because she started with Home Instead in 2008 as a CAREGiver!  After being in the dental field for over 20 years, when she moved to Seattle from Texas she got into caregiving and has enjoyed every minute of it.  What she enjoys most is helping people doing the small things that matter and make a huge difference in their everyday lives. Susana lives in Seattle with her husband, her dogs, and hens.   She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, camping, walking her dogs, eating vegan foods, watching movies and listening to audio books.​


Karen, Bookkeeper

Karen, Bookkeeper

​Bookkeeping comes naturally to Karen.  She started working at Home Instead in her role in 2006, after over 20 years of managing a therapeutic counseling organization.  Karen attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and majored in Home Econimics.  Originally from California, she moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2006 to be closer to her children and young grandchildren.  When not working at Home Instead, you'll find her enjoying her family, volunteering at church, traveling, or enjoying her garden! 


Justine, Client Care Coordinator

Justine, Client Care Coordinator

​Justine has been a Certified Nurse Assistant since 2011 and worked in a memory care community for three years prior to starting with Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2014. Justine worked as a caregiver while completing her education at the University of Washington where she obtained a B.A. in Integrated Social Sciences. Currently, she enjoys working in the office and out in the field helping facilitate client care as a Client Care Coordinator. Justine is also happy that she still gets to provide care for one client whom she adores! Clients and caregivers alike sense the compassion that flows out of Justine. Outside of work, Justine is drawn to the arts and likes to spend time in the great outdoors! Most of all, Justine values spending time with her family and friends.


Montalia, Staffing Coordinator

Montalia, Staffing Coordinator

​Montalia’s passion for serving others and her heart for seniors drove her into the caregiving field in 2001. Home Instead Senior Care was fortunate to hire Montalia as a CAREGiver in 2013 where she excelled in caring for clients. She continues to care for others indirectly as our Staffing Coordinator. Montalia works hard to match caregivers and clients, juggles hundreds of schedules, and manages to maintain a sense of humor through it all! In her free time Montalia loves to travel, hang out with family and friends, and unwind with a good book.


Crystal, Client Care Coordinator

Crystal, Client Care Coordinator

​Crystal graduated from Shoreline Community College as a Certified Nurse Assistant in 2013 and immediately joined Home Instead Senior Care as a caregiver. After 4 years of providing outstanding care to clients and their families, Crystal moved into a new position as Client Care Coordinator. Crystal’s unswerving dedication to seniors shines through her work as Client Care Coordinator. Not only does she keep meticulous records for client care, but Crystal is committed to making sure caregivers have what they need to succeed. Above all, Crystal continues to enjoy connecting with her clients and communicating with family members. Outside of Home Instead, Crystal is an artist who was greatly inspired by watching her grandma draw and sketch still life. Crystal loves spending time with her grandma and painting still life in her art studio.
