Kristi Larson, Franchise Owner

Kristi Larson, Franchise Owner

Prior to starting the Home Instead business, Kristi worked in risk management and has years of personal experience supporting her own family through the aging process. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University with a BA degree in Communications and holds a Certified Senior Advisor designation. Kristi lives on beautiful Bainbridge Island with her husband and children where she enjoys painting, gardening, cooking, and taking care of the animals on her small farm.

Gail Alexander, Operations Manager

Gail Alexander, Operations Manager

Gail has worn many hats during her 15-year career in the senior care industry. She has worked in marketing, billing, scheduling and caregiving. The job of office manager is complex and requires juggling the various needs of Clients and CAREGivers alike.  What Gail enjoys most about her job is the daily problem solving challenges she is tasked with and the satisfaction gained in finding creative solutions.  When not managing the schedules of over 100 CAREGivers, Gail spends her time cooking. Her specialty is Indian influenced cuisine such as eggplant bharta and chicken curry. Originally from Texas, Gail is still a Southern Girl at heart and always makes time for what she loves most – her family and her boxer/shepherd-mix dog, Tyson.

Colleen Barnes, Recruitment and Engagement Manager

She served as a Home Care Consultant where she built relationships with Clients and their families from the start of service, and throughout their association with Home Instead. This was a great training ground for her next role as General Manager for the Home Instead office in Olympia, WA where she oversaw all administrative and field operations. Colleen holds an AAS degree in Medical Assisting which is helpful when training CAREGivers . Colleen and her husband enjoy intergenerational living with their eldest son, daughter-in-law and 2 grand-dogs. She loves visits from her out-of-state family, international travel, and engaging in the creative arts in her free time.

Susana Vergara-Chez, Staff Coordinator

Susana Vergara-Chez, Staff Coordinator

Susana’s kind, warm, gentle demeanor, coupled with strong organizational skills makes her a perfect fit for her role as Staff Coordinator. Susana joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2008 and served as a CAREGiver. She followed the Home Instead Career Pathway which led to her next position as After-Hours Supervisor. She was our first “remote worker” when she worked from her home which happened to be in Texas at the time.  Through the wonders of technology and Susana’s familiarity with our Clients and CAREGivers, Susana made this remote position work! Susana is back in the Seattle area now and continues to work remotely making great matches of CAREGivers to Clients on a daily basis. Susana is a lover of and advocate for all living creatures. Her household always includes a few dogs and she has even had pet hens. She is a strong proponent of a vegan lifestyle and could probably point you toward the best vegan restaurants in the Seattle area if asked.
