Instead Senior Care, the country’s largest provider of in-home senior care
services, has named Stephanie Luke of Fort Collins the West Region CAREGiver of
the Year. A caregiver in Northern Colorado for over 8 years, Stephanie rose to
the top among hundreds of candidates for this prestigious award and is one of
eight nominees who will be considered for the national CAREGiver of the Year award
being a CAREGiver is a great blessing to her clients, Stephanie feels
privileged to have met all of the courageous people who have taught her more
about life than she could ever imagine. Stephanie
recalls one of her most recent life lessons, “I learned about acceptance and
bravery from a 5’2”, 98 pound courageous giant.
Although she had physical limitations from a past stroke, she was
determined to keep her independence as long as possible.” Stephanie feels grateful to Home Instead
owners, Mike and Carol Maguire and the team in Fort Collins for giving her the
opportunity to meet all of the courageous people that have impacted her own
life. She explains “I really appreciate the training and support from the staff
which has helped me provide better care through each life transition, especially
with end of life care.”

network’s top caregiving honor, which will be presented at the Home Instead
Senior Care network’s annual International Convention in Omaha, Neb. On April
25, 2018. She is being recognized along with seven other regional CAREGivers of the Year from the United
States and Canada who were selected from more than 65,000 Home Instead CAREGivers in North America.
CAREGivers provide older adults with in-home care services such as
companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders,
incidental transportation, errands and shopping, to help them remain
independent at home or in care communities.
