Why Senior Care: My passion for seniors began as a teen while working in a long term care facility.   I enjoyed hearing and sharing life experiences with seniors so much, I went on to become an activity director in a few different facilities, one of which brought me to Colorado.  Since that time and with the decline of my aging parents due to Parkinson's disease, my focus has turned toward senior advocacy and resource development.  I feel, oftentimes, families and seniors alike are unaware of all the services available in the community to assist in keeping them as independent as possible.

Why senior care:  I was drawn to senior care after my grandmother moved out here to Good Sam Fort Collins and my kids and I would visit her every chance we got.  We loved eating lunch with her and meeting all her friends in the dining room.  When she passed away sooner than expected, I found myself really missing her, as well as all the other seniors that we met!  I became a caregiver for Home Instead after that and absolutely loved all my regular clients, as well as hearing the stories of other clients that I filled in for at times.  Now that I’m a Care Manager, I am enjoying meeting all the families of our clients as well as the seniors themselves, and am so happy to have such a rewarding job!
