The need for in-home senior care services doesn't always arise between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. That's why our care team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Mike and Carol have been joint owners of Home Instead since March 2006.  They have been involved in Home Instead Senior Care since 1999, while still in college.  Their commitment to senior care is evident through their community outreach and strong desire to obtain the highest quality CAREgivers and staff.  Through this mission they continue to positively impact the lives of hundreds of families in Northern Colorado.

Shelley Turf - Billing Specialist

Job Responsibilities: Directs CAREGiver hours, billing and CAREGiver development.

Expertise/Background: B.A. in Marketing. Expertise in management, finance and customer service.

Why senior care: I have been drawn to the senior industry do to the rewarding experience I had taking care of my grandmother. It was a blessing to be able to help her and further develop a loving relationship with her. I feel like I am a better person because of it.

Courtney Tammelin - CARE Manager

Courtney Tammelin - CARE Manager
Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services, and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: Fort Collins.

Background: B.A. in Psychology, with a concentration in social work with an emphasis on psychiatry. Expertise in Management/Administration, Social Work, State Licensure, Long Term Care, Certified Nursing Assistant, Professional CAREGiving, Training and Development.

Why senior care: Eager to support older adults by engaging in purpose driven activities to help the individual thrive and remain safe in their home. Passionate about this population in relation to personal experiences and involvement in Adopt-A-Grandparent.

Becky Boynton - CARE Manager

Becky Boynton - CARE Manager

​Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services, and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: Estes Park.

Background: Years of experience in Management. Expertise in customer service and building relationships.

Why Senior Care: Being a mum of 3, as well as a daughter, gave me an insight into the needs of seniors in my community, many of whom are isolated from family and support in their homes in this beautiful location. Home Instead gives me an opportunity to reach the seniors in my community and provide care to them in their homes with a fantastic group of CAREGivers.


Traci Episcopo - CARE Manager

Traci Episcopo - CARE Manager

Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services, and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: Weld County.

Background:  Expertise in customer service and child care; served as a CAREGiver and Inquiry Specialist with Home Instead.

Why Senior Care: My interest in serving seniors began as a young girl having multiple family members residing in nursing facilities. I am extremely close with my grandmother and have seen the struggle first hand of her needing extra assistance but also being resistant to it.  I love going to work every day hoping to make a difference in the senior community and the lives of the seniors we care for.  My heart is full at the end of each day.


Kyla Wilkinson - CARE Manager

Kyla Wilkinson - CARE Manager

Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services, and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: South Fort Collins/Loveland.

Background: B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from Colorado State University. Has held various positions with Recruitment, Financials (Billing/Payroll/A.R./A.P.), & Care Management at a Memory Care Facility and two Home Instead Franchises (Covina, CA & Fort Collins, CO).

Why Senior Care: During my CSU Internship, I purposely chose Elderhaus Adult Day Programs as I thought I wanted to work with children but decided to broaden my outlook on the future. This internship opened my eyes to the most incredible generation to serve. I decided to become a caregiver at an Assisted Living Facility and really enjoyed the quick paced environment and the number of residents that I became so close with. To this day, I couldn’t think of a more perfect profession for myself - not to mention how fun it is to learn about a person’s journey through life! We can all learn so much from this wise age group.

Sarah Harlow - Home Care Liaison

Job Responsibilities: Foster relationships and community collaboration with various entities that provide care for Seniors in Northern Colorado.  

Background: M.S. in Long Term Care Administration. Expertise in management/administration, business development, senior living.

Why senior care: My desire to work with the senior care industry began while volunteering in a nursing home my senior year of high school. This experience furthered my interest to receive my Masters in Long Term Care Administration.


Ashley Warburton - Home Care Liaison

Ashley Warburton - Home Care Liaison

​Job Responsibilities: Foster relationships and community collaboration with various entities that provide care for Seniors in Northern Colorado.  

Background: B.S. in Human Services with an emphasis in Gerontology from University of Northern Colorado, Caregiver with HISC for 4.5 years, CARE Manager with Home Instead for 2.5 years.

Why senior care:  I have been involved in senior care since I was a freshman in high school. I started as a volunteer at a nursing home that summer and eventually became an in-home hospice volunteer by my senior year of high school. I grew up being close to my Great-Great Aunt Edna, who was the first example I had for healthy aging (she was still actively volunteering at age 90!) I am passionate about providing quality care for seniors and continue to love the work I do!


Nancy Jones - Training Manager

Nancy Jones - Training Manager

​Job Responsibilities: ​​Manages the current and upcoming training programs as well as ongoing development of the CAREGivers and Staff. 

Background:​ Expertise in professional cargiving and has held a CNA license for 25 years. 

Why senior care: I have always been drawn to the elderly population.  I had an amazing relationship with my only living grandma.  I was her oldest grandchild and loved to spend time with her.  Playing cards was our favorite activity.  My heart is helping the elderly be able to stay in their home. 


Ryan Nelson - Recruitment Coordinator

Ryan Nelson - Recruitment Coordinator

​Job Responsibilities: Recruits and markets for new CAREGivers to join the team. Interviews, Screens & Hires new CAREGivers.

Background: Bachelor’s in Social Work from Colorado State University with a concentration in Geriatric Care.

Why Senior Care: I was drawn to Senior Care when my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.  He moved in with my family and I, and we took the role of caring for him throughout the disease process. With us being the best of friends, I was the only one who could keep him calm. Throughout this process, I quickly learned the benefits of keeping him home, and the importance of having a good support system. This experience led me to further my career in the helping profession, and gives me the ability to make a difference in the lives of older adults.


Dawn Griffith - Inquiry Specialist

Dawn Griffith - Inquiry Specialist

​Job Responsibilities: Receive initial inquiries about services and support other staff members with clerical tasks in order to provide the highest quality service to clients.

Background: B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies with a Minor in Gerontology. A.S. with an emphasis on Human Physiology. Past Home Instead Intern.

Why Senior Care: My passion for seniors began as a teen while working in a long term care facility. I enjoyed hearing and sharing life experiences with seniors so much that I went on to become an activity director in a few different facilities, one of which brought me to Colorado. Since that time and with the decline of my aging parents due to Parkinson's disease, my focus has turned toward senior advocacy and resource development. I feel, oftentimes, families and seniors alike are unaware of all the services available in the community to assist in keeping them as independent as possible. ​

Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of service for clients; resposible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers in order to provide the highest quality service.

Background: Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. CAREGiver with Home Instead for 2 years.

Why senior care: I enjoy enriching the lives of the elderly community and helping them thrive.

Vanessa Mitchell - Service Coordinator

Vanessa Mitchell - Service Coordinator

​Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of service for clients; resposible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers in order to provide the highest quality service.

Background: Going to school for Associates Degree in Health Information Technology, CNA for 10 years. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska.

Why Senior Care: Used to work at a company that conducted surveys for nursing homes, memory care units and hospitals.  We got a lot of comments on the negative aspects and how it could be improved. I wanted to be the percentage that made the difference and help improve care for seniors.  Just knowing that you are making a difference in someone’s life is very rewarding.

Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of service for clients; resposible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers in order to provide the highest quality service.

Background: Studied Journalism & Advertising at the University of Nebraska. Expertise in working with children & adults with disabilities, marketing/advertising, teaching.

Why senior care: I would like to go into nursing. There is a great demand for senior services with an aging population. Working at Home Instead is a great opportunity to get valuable experience helping seniors.


Anthony Douglas - Service Coordinator

Anthony Douglas - Service Coordinator

​Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of service for clients; resposible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers in order to provide the highest quality service.

Background: Worked as a CNA/caregiver for nearly 10 years. Currently attending college to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Lifespan Healthcare with an emphasis in Pediatrics and Geriatrics.

Why senior care: Working with senior citizens grants me knowledge that I incorporate into my studies, as senior citizens offer invaluable wisdom. There are times when seniors aren't given a voice and that's where I fit in - to be their voice and friend.
