  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Working in client’s homes
  • Provide transportation to errands and appointments

Director of Client Care

Home Instead Senior Care of Mecklenburg County, a dynamic customer-focused, in-home care company with a mission to enhance the lives of seniors & their families, has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Client Care. The Director of Client Care is expected to perform a variety of duties that relate to the supervision and leadership of a team of client care professionals and to ensure the expectations and goals of the department. The Director of Client Care supervises in-home aides and CNAs, creates and updates the clients’ plans of care and insures the provisions of quality services that meet company goals and expectations as well as franchise and state regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer a licensed RN in good standing with the NC Licensing Board.
  • 3-5 years experience in home care, health care or senior related industry
  • 3-5 years management experience
  • High-level communication and training skills, ability to collaborate in a diverse environment and has a passion for seniors.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly and to adapt to a fast paced environment.
  • Experience in handling client concerns and a strong desire to provide the highest quality of service.
  • Meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for each of the following: criminal background history, motor vehicle driving record, credit history, and drug testing.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.

Staffing Coordinator

Job Details

For 19 years Home Instead Senior Care of Charlotte has enriched the lives of seniors in Mecklenburg County. We are currently seeking a Staffing Coordinator who has a passion for seniors to join our team. We are looking for an organized individual to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. This position involves supporting the business to ensure the all clients and CAREGiver needs are handled efficiently. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced organization and possess excellent communication skills, be service-oriented and have the ability to work well independently. 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls live and respond to them as needed.
  • Communicate with CAREGivers and clients regarding scheduling as changes arise.
  • Fill open assignments with appropriate CAREGivers.
  • Effectively match and schedule caregivers with clients in new and ongoing assignments, ensuring that every shift is assigned in a timely manner, to the client’s satisfaction and with appropriate follow up with all parties. 
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and caregiver records, including client/CAREGiver activities, progress, and communications between all parties.
  • Document all calls, changes and follow up needed for clients and CAREGivers.
  • Communicate effectively with staffing department and care managers about clients and CAREGivers. 
  • Work with Client Care team to satisfy all client concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist with "on call" responsibilities when the need arises.
 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Organized; able to create and maintain systems that support effective communication between Client Care team members
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, initiate solutions and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate “customer first" prioritization of activities
  • Have a passion for seniors
