Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to be a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Working in a home with pets (cats and dogs)
  • Provide transportation to errands and appointments
  • Alzheimer’s Care
*Recent experience as a CAREGiver preferred*

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week and one weekend a month
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid North Carolina or South Carolina driver’s license and valid auto insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) to be a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion with the help of our amazing team of CAREGivers and CNAs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Assistance with transfers and use of mechanical lift and devices

The ideal candidate must have experience working with Alzheimer's and dementia as well as demonstrate a high level of patience and problem solving skills.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Client Care Coordinator

Job Details

For 17 years Home Instead Senior Care of Charlotte has enriched the lives of seniors in Mecklenburg County. We are currently seeking a Client Care Coordinator who has a passion for seniors to join our team. We are looking for an organized individual to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. This position involves managing quality assurance with extensive one-on-one interaction with clients and families. This person is responsible for effectively managing multiple demands that come with the changing needs of the clients. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced organization and possess excellent communication skills, be service-oriented and have the ability to work well in a team environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Meet potential clients and family members to discuss their needs and provide solutions in the form of a service plan.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and a consistent follow-up schedule with clients and their families.
  • Work with other team members to coordinate various aspects of a client's care
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities to modify service plans to best support the ongoing needs of all clients through a quality assurance program.
​​​Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
  • 3+ years experience in  home care, health care or senior-related industry required and equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
