Deserving the Honor…

Theresa Hull has been making a difference in the lives of her clients since coming on board with Home Instead in October of 2013. Words that can be used to describe Theresa are compassionate, dedicated, reliable, and thoughtful. Theresa enjoys reading and completing jigsaw puzzles in her free time.

When asked how did she chose Home Instead as a career, Theresa stated that she was looking for a job where she would be given the opportunity to help someone, and to also feel appreciated for what she does, and here at Home Instead, she shared, she's found both. Theresa said that she truly enjoys her job and enjoys working with the office staff who are all very helpful.

Theresa builds trust by being reliable, being professional and being responsible. She is always on time and provides exceptional care to her clients. Theresa helps the office staff in accepting fill shifts as much as possible and assisting when there are calls offs. She always keeps the office up to date with client concerns and needed information. Theresa shares her heart, telling of a memorable experience with her client whom she provided care to for three years. She stated that for the three of four years that she has been with Home Instead she was with the same client whom she truly enjoyed taking care of. She said they would sit together and complete puzzles and other activities. Though this client is no longer with us, Theresa will always remember her.

Theresa embodies what it means to live Home Instead and is always looking to increase her knowledge and has taken numerous training and in-service classes. Theresa takes the lead by seeking knowledge to help her take care of her clients better. She has participated in the following training classes during her career at Home Instead; Assisting Client with Arthritis In-Service, Heart Disease In-Service, Diabetes, COPD, Arthritis & Osteoporosis, Parkinson's, Depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder, Strokes, Personal Care Skills Training, Care for the Dying, Central Nervous System Training, Gait Belt Training, Hoyer Lift training, and has completed our two part Specialized Alzheimer's series.

When we informed Theresa that she had been selected to be our Caregiver of the Month, she was very excited and surprised. She stated that she wasn't sure if she deserved to receive such a great award, however after witnessing Theresa's loyalty, dedication, and desire to learn, it is clear that she truly deserves to be our Caregiver of the Month.

The staff at Daytona Beach Home Instead Senior Care is honored to present to you, Theresa Hull, our choice as August 2017 CAREGiver of the Month.
