Sharon has been with the same client since joining the Home Instead team 2 years ago.
Her client's family reports that they have a great connection with Mom’s Care Professional, Sharon.
They continue with “she is self-driven and responds well when mom is experiencing her memory issues”.
Sharon's dedication and dependability ensure that she is her clients favorite.
Maria - June 2023 Caregiver of the Month (East Volusia)
Daughter, Joann, along with our client talked about the storm and how sweet Maria was to stay past her shift. She was there for 24 hours.
Joann said “I appreciated it so much as I was not able to get to my mother”. They both said how very much they love Maria. Maria is very special.

Lorraine - May 2023 Caregiver of the Month (East Volusia)
Lorraine has been with Home Instead starting in 2016. Her dedication to each one of her clients is apparent when you see them interacting with each other on a daily basis. While visiting with her client, Ms B raved about what a great CP Lorraine is, she could not be doing anything better. “Lorraine treats my home as if it was her own and makes sure that everything is attended to.
Wendy - May 2023 Caregiver of the Month (West Volusia)
Client Mr. H called the office to let us know that he loved Wendy, he wishes he could have her every shift. He said “she knew what she was doing”. At the office, we receive this kind of feedback in regards to Wendy. We are proud to say that Wendy is one of our Care Professionals! Her can-do attitude makes her one of the favorites with all of her clients.
Cathy - April 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Home Instead has had the honor of having Cathy as a team member for the past 10 years. Her current client, Mr E, changes his schedule weekly and Cathy just adapts her personal schedule around her clients needs. Her positive attitude and caring personality has endeared her to her client and his family. Her dependability and reliability enables Mr E to receive the help and support that he needs to get thru his daily routine.
Seana - March 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Seana has been a Care Professional with the Daytona Beach office for 4 years. She has cared for several different clients and currently is on a client that she started with almost 2 years ago. Her dependability and reliability, her consistency and dedication, has endeared Seana's spot in this family. All parties involved work together as one cohesive team. Sharon - February 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Sharon is great with Mrs. L. and she is a favorite of the client. She assists the client with all her ADL’s and makes sure she communicates with the office and Mrs. L’s family about the care for mom. Sharon is always there for her and will accommodate schedule shift time changes for the benefit of the client.
Christine - January 2023 Caregiver of the Month
Christine is an Amazing Caregiver! She applies all the skills that she has learned and implements them to give her clients the best care possible. She is great at being to all her shifts on-time and her ability to care for a Specialized level client is awesome! She reports any and all changes to our Client Care Coordinators to ensure clients Care plans are updated.
Karen - December 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Karen is a great Caregiver! She is sensitive to the needs of her clients, and she makes sure that they receive the best care that she can provide. Any client that she picks up always wants her added to their "favorites list". She works 6 days a week consistently, and never complains. Quote from one of her clients. "Ms. Janet said that "she really enjoys Karen; she is very helpful".
Elizabeth - November 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Elizabeth has been such a great Caregiver and friend to her client. She has been a Caregiver with us for more than 5 years and she has done such an amazing job. She makes sure that her client is always taken care of and that her client always has everything she needs while providing the best care.
Kary - October 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Kary is amazing! She has a very warm personality and connects with any client she is scheduled with. The clients have said that she gives them a sense of security when she is with them. She is great with communication and will go out of her way to help a client in need, even clients that she is not normally scheduled with. If she is available when scheduling needs to staff a client, she will pick up the shift no matter how far the drive is, even on her day off.
Lisa - September 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Lisa is a very caring Caregiver. When she is on shift with her clients, she is great about easing their anxiety with being cared for. Her clients say she is a very lovely Caregiver and makes sure the clients get all the help they need. She is consistent in her care for her clients as well as being on shift when she is scheduled.

Ann is such a wonderful and kind person and Caregiver. She is always going above and beyond to help her clients with whatever they need from setting appointments to the nutritious meals she prepares for them. She always accomplishes what needs to be done.

Elizabeth is a great Caregiver who is kind and dedicated to her clients. Her clients love her and say she is very nice and does an excellent job. She is very consistent with completing her tasks for her clients and providing them with the care they need. She also helps with training new Caregivers.
Nicole - June 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Nicole is wonderful with her client. She assists him with all his Activities of Daily Living as well as takes her client to functions where he can be involved and feel needed. She is very patient with him as some days can be difficult. She never gets upset, she has a very kind and patient heart. She is gentle with him and is very involved with his likes and dislikes.
Wendylee - May 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Wendylee is a very reliable Caregiver, and she loves to care for her clients. She helps them with anything that they need from little tasks to larger tasks. She enjoys talking with her clients and hearing their stories. She will help the clients set their doctor appointments and makes sure that her clients get to where they need to be safely and on time.
Stephanie - April 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Stephanie is a constant and reliable caregiver. She is always on shift and looking after the best interest of her clients both mentally & physically. She loves to help them with their Activities of Daily Living, and she completes all her tasks. She is also great at reporting concerns or change of conditions regarding the clients to Client Care.
Florie - March 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Florie is a very hard worker. She takes pride in her job and helping our seniors. She is always making sure they look great and eat a nutritious meal. She sends pictures of the meals that she prepares to the family, so the clients family members care able to see the wonderful meals their loved one received that day.
Sharon - February 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Sharon is a real go-getter! She takes great pride in her job and loves to follow policy. She takes special care in reminding her clients what is important for them. Examples would be nutrition, hygiene, and grooming. Sharon is great at reporting concerns or changes about her clients to the proper office staff.
Nina - January 2022 Caregiver of the Month
Nina is a very kind and dedicated Caregiver. She will go above and beyond to make sure that her clients get the care they need. There were multiple times that she stayed with a client who is 24-hour care for days at a time. Nina had a great attitude about it when she was put into those situations. Nina did not want that clients to go without care and she completes all her tasks to the best of her abilities.

We are thrilled to announce our 2019 Daytona Beach CAREGivers of the Year​: Stella & Rikki!
Stella: When asked about Stella, the office staff gushes that she has the real heart of a CAREGiver. Not only is she reliable and professional with the clients, but she connects quickly with each client she is sent to, they relate to her and trust her almost instantly. She treats each of her clients as if they were her own family, and they soon adopt her into their hearts. When a client has Stella as their CAREGiver, they can’t get enough of her—and when they want her to see her more often, she is always willing to stay late or come in early, and she will most certainly make her herself available for extra shifts
“Almost every experience I have had with my clients has been memorable; they each leave an impression in my heart. I am currently working with five different clients, the longest for a year and half. I believe the key to being a successful CAREGiver is not to think of myself, and to try to bring sunshine into each of their lives. What sets me apart is the genuine love and caring I have to offer them through the good times, as well as being their support and shining light through the hard times.”
Rikki: When asked about Rikki’s performance as a caregiver, the office staff gushes about her ability to win over any client in just one shift. She is one of our top caregivers, that can go to any client at any time, and once they have met her, they always want her back. She truly embodies everything we hope to see from each member of our caring team, and she is a servant leader in teaching others how to do the same. We saw no one else as deserving of this award as she, even if she didn’t think so herself. We are so grateful to have Rikki in our lives, and she blesses each person she encounters.
“Caregiving no longer feels like a job to me, it just feels like my life. The relationships that come from spending time with my clients brings me unconditional love, and they each have something new to teach me or a new way to bring joy to my life. The challenges you face with caregiving make it rewarding as well. Beyond the wisdom and stories that they share with us, I have learned so many new things from my clients, they have so much more to give than we could ever give them. I hope I will always be able to do a job like this, because it isn’t a job, it’s a way of life, and it’s a way of life that makes me happy. I have been with Home Instead in Florida for almost ten years, and before that I worked for Home Instead in Virginia. I don’t do this job for the recognition, I do it because my heart is full each morning when I wake up and every night when I go to bed. I feel honored to be able to work for such an amazing company.”
