Family Values have always been strong…

Family values have always been a strong driving force in Megan Dooley's life. Megan tells us that she has always lived in Florida because her family wanted to stay close to her grandparents to help and support them when the need ever arose. Taking care of the senior members of her family is where Megan's love for helping others started.

Megan describes herself as being people oriented, task oriented, kind and sensitive. She has an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy and is licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Working with people and seniors and hearing good things about Home Instead Senior Care, Megan says she found herself filling out the application for the Daytona Beach office. Megan joined the HISC family in September 2017.

"Getting to work with seniors who need help in all different areas of life and knowing they can still be as independent as possible with just a little bit of help from us" is why Megan likes her CAREGiver position with HISC. "Getting to be there for my client's when their family can't, for whatever reason, and giving their families a much-needed rest, but knowing that their loved ones are cared for" is what Megan says she loves the most about her job. The most difficult part, according to Megan, is seeing your client having a bad day because of their condition and not being able to make it better.

The office staff nominated Megan for the February CAREGiver of the month saying that she is always at her shifts on time and as scheduled. Not only does Megan Build Trust with her clients, but the staff knows that she will be there too!  Megan Shares her Heart and is willing to assist others whenever the schedulers call her. She Takes the Lead by keeping in contact with the office with any changes that she sees with her clients.

We are honored to present to you, our February 2018 CAREGiver of the Month, Megan Dooley!
