Human Resource Assistant

We are currently seeking an innovative Human Resources Supervisor who will be responsible for the functions of recruitment, on-boarding, employee recognition, and career development/training that supports the engagement of all employees throughout their career with the company.

When you join us, you will proactively evaluate and assess talent acquisition needs and implement creative, efficient, and effective sourcing and recruitment strategies and oversee the recruiting. Also, you will ensure team members successfully align with organizational culture, values, and expectations. You will also be challenged with delivering an on-boarding and training program that promotes the organization and supports a successful career evolution that includes various engagement opportunities.


PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Proactively evaluate and assess talent acquisition needs (current and emerging) and implement creative, efficient, and effective sourcing and recruitment strategies. Deploys a variety of effective recruitment techniques to source qualified candidates, including direct sourcing calls, resume mining, networking, social media and job fairs. Develop a pool of well-qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Ensure applicants are appropriately tracked and maintain weekly progress/status reports and key performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain contacts with recruitment agencies as needed. Builds quality relationships with college career centers and other recruitment channels
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of new hire and rejection notifications
  • Coordinate background checks and ensure employees fulfill expectations related to onboarding
  • Enters new hire data into Human Resources Information System
  • Provide training and support to managers accordingly on processes related to recruitment, selection, onboarding and other team member engagement
  • Responsible to ensure recruitment processes meet all compliance reporting requirements
  • Ensure up-to-date Job Descriptions are available
  • Responsible for the Weekly, Monthly and Annual Review processes and all related forms/reporting
  • Request, collect, and organize materials needed to publish online monthly Newsletter; prepare employee communications, as requested
  • Assist Scheduling Coordinator with scheduling functions as needed


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of recruiting experience with demonstrated understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle process
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Strong technical aptitude with high degree of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Internet applications
  • Prior experience with employee recognition tools and techniques
  • Pro-active, creative, and independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed to assess candidates and make recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a variety of human resources issues with successful outcomes and demonstrated openness to new ideas and approaches
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
