That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Nancy Barrett - Owner

Nancy Barrett - Owner

Nancy, along with her brother, Ralph Samson, became the owners and founders of Central Ohio Senior Care Inc., the Columbus franchise that began in July of 1996. They had experienced the stress of caring for their mother, Ruth, who suffered from stroke-related dementia since 1990. It was because of Ruth that Ralph and Nancy decided to start a Home Instead Senior Care. They wanted to care for seniors just like their mother.


Scott Samson - Home Care Manager

Scott Samson - Home Care Manager

Scott manages the financial accounts and office technology and for Home Instead Senior Care. He is responsible for bill paying and payroll, as well as ordering necessary supplies. Scott works with both Home Care Consultants and our clients to set up their accounts using ACH, credit cards, or long term care insurance. Scott also oversees and monitors the operation of our computer database, Clear Care.


Elizabeth Severe - Client Services & Human Resource Manager

Elizabeth Severe - Client Services & Human Resource Manager

Elizabeth is responsible for overseeing the hiring process for our caregivers. She conducts the orientation for new CAREGivers and oversees the training program conducted by the R.N. She is responsible for on-going training, CAREGiver reviews, compliance, and implementation of policies and procedures. Elizabeth works directly with scheduling – overseeing all aspects of client services and caregiver scheduling.


Ronna Paree - Lead CAREGiver & Office Coordinator

Ronna Paree - Lead CAREGiver & Office Coordinator

Ronna completes Caregiver introductions, quality assurance visits and provides Caregivers with in home training as needed. Ronna works with our clients as needed. She oversees the Be A Santa To A Senior program and assists Human Resources with scheduling interviews and training. She also enters updated CAREGiver availability and time off.


Chardenae Golden - Service Coordinator

Chardenae Golden - Service Coordinator

Chardenae schedules clients with last names starting with A-L. She also schedules for our Senior Options clients, ensuring we are utilizing their authorized amounts each month. Chardenae completes the billing for Senior Options as well. She is responsible for matching the needs of our clients with the talents and personalities of our CAREGivers. She makes sure clients’ scheduling needs are met as needs and health issues change.


Amanda Faulks - Service Coordinator

Amanda Faulks - Service Coordinator

​Amanda schedules clients with last names starting with M-Z. She also schedules for our Source Point clients, ensuring we are utilizing their authorized amounts each month. Amanda completes billing for Source Point as well. She is responsible for matching the needs of our clients with the talents and personalities of our CAREGivers. She makes sure clients’ scheduling needs are met as needs and health issues change.


Molly Polglase - Home Care Consultant

Molly Polglase - Home Care Consultant

​Molly oversees the coordination of all client care, from the initial phone inquiry, to care consultations to quality assurance visits with our current clients. Molly keeps in contact with clients and their families to ensure Home Instead maintains extraordinary services. She and her team informs and keeps the community aware that the services we provide enable seniors to stay “Home Instead.”


Jennifer Bushby - Home Care Consultant

Jennifer Bushby - Home Care Consultant


​Jennifer is responsible for sales and marketing. Her focus is developing and maintaining relationships with community referral sources while identifying new opportunities for business growth. She coordinates and participates in community events.
