My 86-year old Mother was a patient of Home Instead while a patient at Kemper House of Worthington, Ohio. I do not think I have enough typing space to describe the phenomenal care she received from the caregivers of Home Instead. The personnel of Home Instead came to our 'rescue' within a few hours' notice and they were with her 24/7 for the week prior to her death. The caregivers were so giving, attentive, caring, thoughtful, respectful of her, and genuinely was concerned about her well being. The caregivers would talk to her, make sure she was comfortable in every fashion, be watchful of her during all hours, and listen to our concerns as a family. Having this paramount level of care gave me great peace of mind and I did not have to worry about her when I was not with her. Thank You Home Instead - Gretta is now at peace, but you made her final journal the best. Thank you again, Jamie and family.

We started with Home Instead when my mother who lives in a memory care facility, fell and broke her hip. Because of her level of dementia, we felt that it would be best after her return from the hospital, that she return to her Memory Care home, with assistance from Home Instead. They have been absolutely terrific at fitting into the community and working with me and my mother, as well as the community staff. Because of Home Instead, we were able to skip the "Step Down" living arrangements that would have just confused her even more. Their customer care was able to move quickly with the different schedules and requests we had. I would highly recommend this service!
The caregivers at Home Instead have been wonderful. It is great to know our parents are well cared for. Not everything is perfect and we have to make little corrections as we go along but knowing that the hours that the caregivers are present, means that our parents are safe and cared for.
Interviewing and being interviewed by Ruth Ann showed us that they could do more than we hoped for and we are steadily trying to take advantage of all the care options available.
Our brother has lived in the Columbus area for almost 50 years while we have lived in Cleveland. Due to dementia issues developing and the emerging COVID crisis at the beginning of 2020, we did not want to move him out of his home to an Assisted Living Facility where we would not be able to see him. Because of the distance, we decided to hire a home care agency, Home Instead, to help bridge the gap. The caregiver came four hours a day, six days a week helping to assure that my brother was safe, well fed and competent to take care of ADL’s on a daily basis. Their reliable and competent service provided a great relief to us as we navigated through the COVID era before finally getting a chance to move him closer to us. There were a few glitches here and there, but overall the service adequately met our needs and allowed the security of knowing that if there were any issues, Home Instead would notify us immediately. As independent as our brother can be, he eventually relied on the caregiver visits and developed a strong rapport with most of them. The change in management that took place approximately six months ago has made the organization stronger. I would highly recommend their services for your loved one.

Providing private care provider services for my mother in assisted living has been a Godsend. The care provider matched with my mother was met with instant success. My mother has someone who is there 100% for just her. The care provider assists, encourages, and is an on-site advocate for mother's needs. The communication from Home Instead has been stellar. My only sorrow is that I did not initiate service earlier. It was my late learning that assisted living residents with their own on-site private care providers always seem to do better. I found myself in a very unexpected and difficult situation with a family member's health that was going to require a rapid response for in home assistance. Home Instead were beyond fantastic in a very difficult time and not only made themselves available very quickly but came with a plan that they implemented faster than I could have imagined. In a very short time, I was able to have assistance in the home and confidence that I had the additional help I needed. Everyone I interacted with was extremely helpful, courteous, caring and provided in-home support that was necessary without being obtrusive. I would highly recommend this team and while it is difficult to take the step of asking for help, particularly in the privacy of home, their communication, grace and professionalism made what was already a very difficult situation better.
