That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Business Owner: Anne Peters

Business Owner: Anne Peters
Anne brings 17 years experience in the senior care business to the Des Moines office. Personal experiences with family members motivate her to create an environment where quality is first with clients, CAREGivers, and the community. Her role is to provide leadership, promote Home Instead Senior Care in the community, plan community service projects, and create greater awareness in the Des Moines area regarding senior issues, challenges, and needs. Anne currently serves on the Direct Care Worker Advisory Council, Central Iowa Senior Education Network (CISEN) and the Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee.  She is married with three rapidly growing​children and enjoys cooking, reading, and watching her kids play sports.

Staffing Supervisor: Makenzie Parker

Staffing Supervisor: Makenzie Parker

​Makenzie Parker is our Staffing Supervisor and master puzzle solver. She is responsible for creating matches between our Clients and our CAREGivers. She uses her experience as a former CAREGiver to communicate the needs and desires of the clients and their families to her staff. She is equally as dedicated to setting our CAREGivers up for success by giving them the information and tools they need to provide exceptional care.


Client Care Advocate: Staci Schwarz

Client Care Advocate:  Staci Schwarz

Staci joined the Home Instead team in February 2016 and is passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships and exceptional experiences between clients and caregivers.  She serves as a liaison between families, clients and caregivers to ensure that client needs are met with excellence and compassion.  Staci's personal experience in caring for her grandmother during her journey with Alzheimer's has given her a heart for working with the aging community.  She is deeply committed to providing Highly Personalized Care to each of her clients.  In her free time, Staci enjoys writing, reading and embarking on adventures with her husband and two children.  ​


Home Care Consultant: Heather Barber

Home Care Consultant:  Heather Barber

​Heather has an enormous passion for helping others find solutions  to their needs! She joined our office as Home Care Consultant in April of 2015.   Heather's main responsibility is building relationships with referral providers, and educating the community about Home Care. Her education in Children and Family Services and Aging Services Management also equips her to manage Client Care for our clients who reside in a community setting.

Heather spends her time outside of Home Instead with her 3 children, and beloved family guinea pig, Chewbacca. 


Recruitment Specialist: Jan Hannasch, RN, CMC

Recruitment Specialist: Jan Hannasch, RN, CMC

Jan recruits and hires our amazing CAREGivers through the lens of a daughter, seeking out only those individuals she would have trusted with her own mother.  She also uses her experience as a nurse and a care manager to identify individuals who can give Highly Personalized Care in a professional manner.  Jan's expertise in handling situations arising from age-related illnesses and dementia is beneficial in helping plan regular educational events for our CAREGivers, as well as assisting in the development of complex Care Plans.​  Jan, who moved back to Iowa with her beagle and two cats, loves Nebraska football, and spending time with her family and grandkids.


Retention and Engagement Coordinator: Stevie Land

Retention and Engagement Coordinator: Stevie Land

Stevie is responsible for setting CAREGivers up for success through Home Instead quality training, highly personalized care team meetings and one-on-one coaching.  She works closely with all other members of the office staff to find creative solutions to meet the ever changing needs of our clients and CAREgivers.  She is passionate about promoting self-care and providing tools to engage with each other in a meaningful way.  When not working or being a mom, she loves long walks in nature, sitting on the patio watching wildlife and practicing yoga.
