They are trustworthy, kind, responsible, and reliable. Butch, the owner, is involved and caring. Nancy, Kanani, and Nizza, who make up part of their management team are phenomenal. They are all, patient, knowledgeable, caring, and responsive. My father is fortunate to have the most outstanding caregivers in Cassie, Rodney, and Aurea! Not only are they extremely kind, but they are so skilled, gentle, protective, fun, and caring. When they are with my dad, I don’t have to worry, because they treat him like family. I am so blessed to have found such an amazing company. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for a team of top-notch, honest, reliable, caring, and professional individuals! - By Myrna Z.We have been fortunate to have George Hewitt with Home Instead care for our loved one several times a week this past year. He is a gentleman who consistently brings good cheer. He enjoys cooking and has made many excellent meals for her.
We are also very comfortable having him drive Myrna to go shopping and other interesting, scenic, and enjoyable outings. When I came across an announcement for the Orchid Society Show at King Intermediate, he took her, and they had a fabulous time. Myrna loves flowers and is growing roses, orchids, hibiscus, herbs, and many other plants. George helps her to manage them nicely in addition to his regular duties. We also trust Ariana to perform various tasks, from driving, medical appointments, family correspondence, meal planning and preparation, cleaning, garden tending, shopping, and caring for many aspects of the home. She is punctual and leaves clear records in the notebook.

I live around a block and a half away from Windward Mall so when the weather permits, they’ll push my mom in a wheelchair to the mall. After speaking with an office member, I immediately knew that Home Instead was the right company to care for my mother-in-law who suffered from dementia. My family and I needed extra help to ensure her safety as she progressed through the disease, and Home Instead provided us with professional, properly trained, courteous, and compassionate care professionals. Our weekly care professional, Addy, cared for my mother-in-law with patience, initiative, and always knew what my mother-in-law needed. With Addy’s help, my mother-in-law aged happily at home until her passing. One of the best decisions our family made was choosing Home Instead!

Margie goes above and beyond with her on site presence with housekeeping and meals that look like they're from a magazine cover. It is abundantly clear that Margie cares for Mom above and beyond what would be normal for a client. Taylor is also a fantastic CAREgiver with an exceptional personal touch. I can tell that she truly cares about my father, she's not just simply doing a job - I feel like she's treating my father like her own family. She takes him to pick up lunch, for walks, she purchased house slippers for him because she noticed his had holes in them, and she's started taking him to his doctor's appointments when she can and that has helped us SO much! In the very beginning, my father, who has dementia, was very against having someone come into his house and he kept telling us we were "wasting our money". But, now I can tell that he trusts her and even looks forward to when he knows she's coming. Thank you Patti for caring for our father and giving us peace of mind that someone so kind and compassionate is caring for our father while we're at work.
- By KaleoI was very reluctant to try a senior care program for my mother as I wasn't sure how comfortable she would be or how I would feel having to have someone else care for her. Home instead Kailua exceeded my expectations and made the process of transitioning the care Of my mother by myself to someone else seamless. Every interaction I had with all the people I've encountered at Homestead was compassionate and professional. The initial greeting from Alex instilled confidence in those that will be be providing the care. Nizzq the supervisor of the caregivers explained exactly what was going to happen and took the time to alleviate any fears i may have had. We had wonderful care from all of the caregivers assigned to my mom however I would like to make a special note about Ariana and Ashlee who managed to get my mom to do more for herself and inquired with me about household chores that they could do. When I came home from work my house was sparkling and my mom was happy.

Home Instead office always called me if there was a schedule change or if my helper was out and offered a replacement for the day. Everybody is so caring and kind, they are easy to trust.

She does small tasks without being asked or reminded, and takes care to make sure he is comfortable and secure. When I leave the house to take care of errands, I know he will be safe with her.

She quickly made herself part of the family, getting to know all of the family members and making a real friendship with our mom. She knew just how to make our mom comfortable, and showed such care and compassion in making sure our mom was safe and had all of her needs met. Having that helper with us was even better than having a family member present, because she had all kinds of knowledge and skill that we all lack. As it became clear that our mom was dying (and not recovering, as we had originally thought), our helper also showed great kindness towards every member of the family as we processed our grief. We referred to our helper as a saint and an angel, and that's exactly what she was to us in this most profound period.

Schedulers did their utmost to ensure a match between the caregivers and our family's needs. Schedulers, supervisors, and managers were very accessible and responsive to questions and concerns. Every caregiver was on time, polite, and helpful. When my mom's condition changed and she needed to have consistent staffing, Home Instead MADE IT HAPPEN! It was not an easy situation for us to unexpectedly find ourselves giving 24/7 care to my cousin during a time when all three of us were to be vacationing together in Hawaii. I will never forget how the pressure started to lighten from my shoulders, when Kyle Lovett’s first words to me by phone were “Help is on the way!” Kyle appeared on our door step, like an angel, 30 minutes later with warm hugs and reassurances that Home Instead would soon give us the relief we needed. She greeted Betty with an equally warm hug and exuded heart-felt caring and empathy for her illness. Happily, Home Instead was able to cover every request, even when we found we would like to add additional time onto several of the shifts. As the owner of a staffing company, I realize this was not a small feat and required considerable effort on your part. Each of the companions was on time, confident, caring, and clearly had received excellent training. They knew how to relate to Betty to help ease any anxiety she might be feeling and to give her confidence. Each of them communicated well with me and displayed a desire to conscientiously carry out any instructions I gave regarding Betty’s care. Thanks to Home Instead, My husband and I received the respite time we needed to enjoy beautiful Oahu, free of guilt, and Betty was safe and well cared for to the satisfaction of the entire family. - By Anonymous114703250Home Instead was nice to work with. Before we hired them, Butch came over to the house. He met my mom and looked at our house to check on it because they were actually checking mobility; I guess some houses are too messy or too cluttered. We went over their provided services, and he asked what we really needed. Mostly what I needed was somebody to help my mom in the shower while taking a bath. He made it easy for me to look at the schedule. He checked the bathroom to make sure that it was OK. They were really good. It only used them for about a month, but that whole month went pretty smoothly. The administrator or the director was very good about following up. He called and asked if we will continue the service.
