Meet Our Team

Hi, I'm Maureen Riser and I am the owner of Home Instead Senior Care of Spring Hill. I was born in Queens New York and raised on Long Island. After receiving my Bachelors of Science in Nursing, I relocated to Tampa, Florida in 1989 to pursue an opportunity with Moffitt Cancer Center. During a more than 20 year career with Moffitt, I helped open the Bone Marrow Transplant program and the Direct Referral Center. During this time, I held various roles which included in-patient nurse, outpatient nurse, case manager, Senior Financial Analyst, Clinic Operations Manager, and Department Administrator. I also continued my education and received my Masters of Business Administration from Saint Leo University in St. Leo, Florida.

In additon to my above expierences, I also worked as a Regional Director of Clinical Care for LifePath Hospice in Tampa, Florida, and a Branch Director for Gentiva Healthcare in Citrus and Marion Counties, Florida.

I live with my husband and two teenaged children. I consider myself very fortunate, as my parents have also retired to Florida, and we are able to spend a lot of time together with them.

Through my dedication and love of patient care, I have found a way to leverage my talents while creating a business opportunity which has brought me closer to my home and family. My passion for doing what is right for those seeking assistance, enables my belief that every day is a privilege where I can guide those I work with to be the changing force of aging by living Home Instead.

Hi, my name is Ted Riser and I'm the Financial Director, Chief Financial Officer for Home Instead Senior Care of Spring Hill. I was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and aside from my time serving in the United States Air Force from 1989-1993 at a Radar Detachment located north of Great Falls, Montana, I have always lived in our Sunshine State Paradise. Prior to joining my wife Maureen, I have worked as a Software Tester/Quality Assurance Technologist for Baxter Healthcare Inc. Research & Development-Renal Division in Largo. I have also worked for Waste Management Inc. in Spring Hill, and have owned a couple of small businesses in both Hernando and Pasco Counties. My wife and I met each other 25 years ago, and been married for the last 19 of those. Together, we have 2 teenage children. I joined Maureen at Home Instead Senior Care, in order to assist her in directing the financial operations of her business and to alleviate the pressures of day to day operations of running a business, so that she could fully concentrate on her passion of helping others. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, playing poker with friends, being with my family, and attending my son's high school wrestling matches.

Hi, my name is Michele Mullins. Originally from Michigan and Indiana, where after 20 years in restaurant management, I moved to Florida to help with the care of my aging parents in 2006. When my father passed away in 2012, I realized how much I enjoyed being a caregiver. I worked at Atria Evergreen Woods for 2 years in the Memory Care unit before coming to Home Instead Senior Care of Spring Hill. I have experienced Caregiving through both sides of the lens, as a family member caregiver needing respite care and as the one providing that care. I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. I am the proud mother of a beautiful adult daughter, who is one of my best friends and I am also the proud grandmother of her new baby boy (my first and only!).

Hi, I'm Erica Mancuso. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Puerto Rico. My family moved back to Buffalo, NY when I was 12, and I was able to gain full fluency in English in about one year. I became a certified CNA and a licensed child care facility special needs teacher. I moved to Florida in 1998. Prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care in 2014, I also had experience as a medical bill coder and a licensed x-ray technician. I have worked in large nursing home environments, however, I really enjoy the ability to provide the one on one care level that exists with Home Instead. My husband Frank and I, have been married for the past 16 years and we have one son. In our spare time, we enjoy cruise vacations, gardening, cooking, going to the beach and museums, and our family playtime with our three dogs.

Kay is the Home Care Sales Executive and performs in-home care consultations with potential clients and family members. Taking care of people has always been a part of who she is. Kay loves meeting new people and finding how Home Instead can help them with their daily tasks. She has been in the medical field for almost 20 years and have been rewarded with new friends through her work.

Noemi has been in her role for one year. She has been an Administrative Assistant for most of her career and truly loves her interactions with CAREGivers and clients at Home Instead. Her background with financial institutions taught her much about being a team player and she is always willing to help out. She works very hard to create a workplace culture that retains the highest quality CAREGivers in the area. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, dancing, and decorating.
