“Always strive to do better.”
Vickie Anderson’s passion for senior care began early. As a child, she witnessed her mother’s struggle to find quality care for her great-grandmother in a nursing home. That experience didn’t just leave an impression—it launched a legacy. Her mother became a nursing home operator, and Vickie followed closely in her footsteps.
From scrubbing floors to preparing meals at her mother’s facility, Vickie learned the importance of dignity and hands-on compassion. After her first year of college, she pursued nursing and became an RN in the 1970s. She later earned her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, working across nursing homes, hospitals, and private practice.
For 34 years, Vickie taught the next generation of caregivers as an Associate Teaching Professor of Nursing at Brigham Young University while also providing pediatric primary care. Her leadership has extended beyond the classroom—she’s served on Utah’s Prescriptive Practice Board, contributed to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners' Certification Board, and completed two terms as a commissioner for the organization.
Today, as our Quality Assurance Specialist, Vickie brings decades of clinical expertise and a heart firmly rooted in advocacy for the elderly.
“Through every role I’ve held, I’ve lived by the principle my mother taught me: always strive to do better.”
When she’s not working, Vickie enjoys traveling and spending time with her four children and ten grandchildren.
