At Home Instead, we have the honor of caring for many veterans who have made countless sacrifices for our country. We know that behind every uniform is a story, and often, veterans find the most comfort when surrounded by people who truly appreciate the weight of those sacrifices. To support seniors throughout the community, we're spotlighting an upcoming author talk at the Allegan District Library as a must-attend for veterans and their families.
Join local author and combat veteran Cecilia (Adele) Garcia on Wednesday, January 28th, at 6pm at the Allegan District Library, 331 Hubbard St. Learn about her journey from Army service and receiving a Purple Heart, to becoming a mental health advocate. She’ll also be discussing her five-part novella series, Always Forward, which offers a raw, honest look at themes like PTSD and recovery that hit home for many in our community.
Hearing these stories is a vital part of honoring our local heroes and breaking the stigma around the challenges they face. As Home Instead strives to provide the best home care in Allegan County, MI, we will continue to spotlight events like this that show the reality of service and sacrifice.
Registration is required for this event, so be sure to contact the library by calling (269) 673-4625 to save your spot!
