On behalf of my brothers and myself I want to express our deepest gratitude and recommendations for the care, compassion, and support the Home Instead team provided to our Mom during her final months. Jane provided assistance in arranging for hospice to come out and re-evaluate her which was truly invaluable. Without that support, we would have been faced with bringing her to the hospital, which was the very last thing we wanted for her at the end of her life. Because of you and your team, she was able to remain at home, surrounded by comfort and familiarity. Our heartfelt thanks go out to every caregiver who assisted in Mom’s care and who offered me not only professional support, but also kindness, patience, and a sympathetic ear during an incredibly difficult time. Nicole, who was her primary caregiver in the last few months was amazing. She instinctively knew what needed to be done and how gently to encourage Mom to stay engaged in life while respecting her limits. Knowing Nicole was there, keeping a watchful eye on Mom, brought our family great comfort. The caregivers who spent shorter periods of time with Mom were no less wonderful. Shola was so kind and supportive. By the time she arrived, Mom required more monitoring than active care, yet her compassion toward my brother and me as we prepared for the inevitable meant so much to us. Betty was always attentive and eager to help in any way she could, keeping a close and caring eye on Mom throughout her shift. Sharon was a steady, comforting presence in our home. I knew I could rest when she was there. She was the last caregiver with Mom before her passing, and the compassion she showed Mom and our family was truly a light during a very hard time. Seeme was present when hospice was initiated and was instrumental in helping both me and the hospice staff get Mom settled and answering questions about the days ahead. I was especially grateful that she was able to spend Christmas with Mom. Her gentle touch and calm presence were deeply comforting. Carrie provided wonderful support during some of Mom’s most difficult care needs near the end. Even when Mom was uncomfortable or resistant, Carrie remained professional, compassionate, and attentive. She anticipated needs, assisted hospice without hesitation, and never had to be asked what needed to be done. DeAnna was with Mom when her decline became more apparent. She did everything possible to ensure Mom was safe and comfortable before she left, and I am deeply appreciative of her critical thinking and problem-solving when necessary supplies were not yet available. Lynea faced some challenges with Mom due to sundowning, yet she handled each situation with compassion and encouragement. She never hesitated to involve me when needed, which I truly appreciated. Even during difficult moments, she always spoke of Mom with warmth and kindness. I would also like to thank the office staff for their incredible support, especially during the final weeks. I know scheduling is part of their role, but what they were able to accomplish—particularly over the holidays and on very short notice—felt nothing short of miraculous. I want to especially thank Angie, who has been a constant source of support over the past few months. Knowing she was just a phone call away and that she would take care of whatever was needed brought me tremendous peace of mind. When I couldn’t be there, she went above and beyond to ensure Mom—and I—were cared for. All of this is to say that I cannot thank each member of your team enough. Every person exceeded my expectations, and I would never hesitate to recommend your services to anyone in need.

We utilized Home Instead services for my elderly mother for just over the past 18 months. Everything from our initial interview to the final days of service was top notch! The individual companions were thoughtful, caring, flexible and reliable. Similarly the administrative support was always on top of things, most notably with exceptional communication! We would highly recommend their services!

My parents hired Home Instead while they were away for 2 weeks to help me with cooking and laundry while I am recoveriing from ankle surgery. All the caregivers were helpful and I enjoyed talking to and getting to know them. I would highly recommend Home Instead.

All the caregivers who took care of my daughter while we were out of town. My daughter was in good hands and that made our being away comfortable for us. She also enjoyed having them. The people who arranged the caregivers were great and easy to work with. We recommend using Home Instead.

We used Home Instead for a few years at my parents house 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours a day. Our aides were prompt, courteous, and attentive to my parents. They genuinely cared about their well being and became friends that looked out for them. The office staff was also very supportive and worked with changing requirements with ease. Thank you for your support for helping my parents stay in their house longer. You truly made a difference.

Helpful FAQs
At Home Instead, we've helped families recognize those signs and build a care plan that supports independence—not takes it away.
Here are some common signs it might be time to consider in-home care:
- Missed medications, meals, or appointments
- Challenges with bathing, dressing, or mobility
- Increased forgetfulness or signs of memory loss
- Withdrawal from social activities
- Stacks of unopened mail or unpaid bills
- Family caregiver stress or burnout
The good news? Help doesn't have to mean moving out. Our Care Pros help older adults stay safe and supported right in their own homes.

Still unsure? A care consultation is a great place to start. We'll listen, answer your questions, and help you explore your options—with no pressure or obligation.
Here's when home care might be the right step:
- You're juggling caregiving with work, family, and your own well-being
- Your loved one's needs are growing beyond what you can manage alone
- You're noticing signs of burnout, frustration, or fatigue
- You want a consistent, trusted partner to rely on
Home Instead Care Pros provide support that fits your routine—not the other way around. Whether it's meal prep, a walk, or help getting to appointments, our care is designed to enhance—not replace—your role.
You don't have to wait for a crisis. Most families who start care with us say they wish they had done it sooner.
There's no one-size-fits-all answer—but if your loved one wants to stay in their own home, in-home care can be the most personal, flexible, and reassuring option.
In-home care vs. assisted living
Assisted living can be great for those who want a communal setting and are ready to relocate. But if your loved one wants to stay at home, in-home care offers:
- One-on-one attention in familiar surroundings
- A flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle
- Support with meals, mobility, personal care, and companionship
- Help from Care Pros who get to know your loved one—building trust and routine
In-home care vs. hiring a private caregiver
Hiring an independent caregiver can seem less expensive—but it comes with risk. As the employer, you'd be responsible for payroll, insurance, and coverage when they can't show up.
With Home Instead, we handle everything:
- Professional hiring, training, and supervision
- Background checks, insurance, and 24/7 backup support
- Personalized matches and no long-term contracts
In-home care is all about helping your loved one stay independent, comfortable, and safe—right in the place they know and love. From simple companionship to specialized dementia support, our Care Pros are here to help make life easier.
Here's how it works with Home Instead Easton:

- We stay connected. Our Easton office is available 24/7 for support. Your dedicated Care Manager will stay in touch to make sure everything's working—and adjust care as needs change.
It's care on your terms. Ready to get started?
