Care isn’t one-size-fits-all. We partner with you to create a personalized care plan that grows and adapts as your needs change.
Founded in 1994, Home Instead has helped older adults around the world age safely and with dignity at home, using a time-tested approach built on connection and compassion.
Jen and Omo have been a true blessing to my mom and our whole family. They have come in and helped give my mom, who is suffering from dementia, compassionate care. Helping her to get to meals, bringing her to activities, providing a listening ear and also providing our family comfort as we know, when we can’t be there, that someone is with her to help her and offer quality care. We are grateful for what we have seen from both Jen and Omo.
My 91 year old mother is currently in assisted living with dementia. After my father passed, we reached out to Home Instead in order to find caregivers that could be with her through the day. Jen,Omo, and Maureen have been so kind, patient, and reliable. My mom has been able to have companionship as well as assistance with daily life tasks. The communication from these ladies as well as the office staff has been far superior to any other agency I have dealt with for elder services. The caregivers have also made an effort to get my mom out and about within the facility as well as being so supportive when she asks questions. Our family feels she is much safer, happier and supported with these wonderful caregivers. Thank you!
Home Instead Norwell has been great to my parents. All the caregivers have been attentive and patient with my parents and that has been a great help to my siblings and myself as we try to balance our own work and home schedules with my parents' needs. A special thanks to caregiver Lauren who was highly praised by my parents for her work ethic and personality. We hope she will be recognized for that by Home Instead. Thank you also to the management staff of Jay, Tess, and Todd who made the process of getting services in place very easy and are always responsive to any questions or problems. Our family has been well served by Home Instead Norwell.
Our aide, Jackie, is fantastic. My husband had a problem with his catheter and she resolved it with grace and expertise. I am very grateful for Home Instead’s home care aides!
Tammy was an incredible caregiver for my father this week. My father has Alzheimer's, and Tammy created a safe, calm, and supportive environment that put both him and our family at ease. She went above and beyond by helping with meals, doing laundry, and keeping the home clean and organized. Most importantly, she treated my father with kindness, dignity, and patience. Her compassionate care made a meaningful difference, and we are truly grateful for everything she did. I would highly recommend Tammy to any family looking for a dependable and caring caregiver

On Stage Receiving Gala
We have been serving families on the South Shore for more than twenty years, and in that time we have built a reputation that families and referral partners trust. Three things define what we offer: clinical partnership, proven Care Pros and a commitment to reliability that is backed by a guarantee.
Our partnership with South Shore Hospital's Mobile Integrated Health program is one of the more distinctive things about us — it brings hospital-level monitoring into the home and reduces readmissions for clients recovering after discharge. Alongside that, we use Sensi AI technology to proactively detect changes in well-being between visits, giving families an early-warning system that most home care providers do not have.
We offer a service guarantee: if your shift is not filled, the next one is free. That is not something most home care providers put in writing, and we back it with 75 Care Pros and 24/7/365 live phone support — a person answers every call, around the clock.
We also conduct monthly quality assurance in-home visits so that care quality is monitored continuously, not just at intake. And nationwide background checks are completed for every Care Pro before they begin.
All of our Care Pros have completed Alzheimer's Association training certification, which means every member of our team — not just a designated specialist — is equipped with evidence-based approaches for memory care. We also ran a dementia-friendly day program for two years, which gave us deep, applied experience in structured dementia care that we have built into our home care programs.
The result is a team trained to meet the full range of dementia-related challenges: sundowning, agitation, wandering risk, resistance to personal care, and supporting families through the long arc of a dementia diagnosis.
Our track record is unusual. We have three recent Home Instead Care Professionals of the Year on our team, including Maureen Walsh, a 2025 award winner. The Boston Globe recognized us as a Top Place to Work in 2025, and the Boston Business Journal named us a Best Place to Work the same year. When a workplace earns that reputation, the Care Pros who work there tend to stay — and long-tenure Care Pros build the kind of client relationships that make a real difference.
We have been caring for some clients for six, seven or more years. A woman with Parkinson's disease has been with us for six and a half years, across every stage of her progression. We have helped her attend weddings and family events across New England. That kind of continuity is what our sixty-plus five-star reviews reflect.
Our partnership with South Shore Hospital's Mobile Integrated Health program means we are not just a home care agency that happens to take referrals from the hospital — we are an active partner in reducing readmissions. The program coordinates care that would otherwise require hospital-level monitoring, and we support it with in-home care and Sensi AI technology that detects early changes in well-being.
For families navigating a discharge from South Shore Hospital, this means care that is integrated with their clinical team from day one.
We are active participants in the Alzheimer's walk, Council on Aging walk-a-thons and health fairs, and local networking activities across the South Shore. We partner with several Councils on Aging (COAs) to support their memory cafes and relevant programs.
Each year we promote the Be a Santa to a Senior campaign aggressively within our territory, engaging local COAs as much as possible to reach isolated older adults during the holiday season.
Yes. The South Shore's winters can be severe, and we have built operational processes around them. When conditions make driving hazardous for Care Pros, we arrange transport so that client visits are not skipped and care is not interrupted. Families dealing with an urgent need in the middle of a nor'easter should not have to worry about whether someone will show up.
