Caregiver

Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Caregivers—we call ours Care Professionals—to become a part of our team and join our mission of expanding the world’s capacity to care. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Technical and/or functional requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must have reliable transportation, including a valid driver's license and insurance either in your name, or listed as a driver on the policy (for availability between 6a-11p)
Must be able to work either Saturday or Sunday on a consistent and weekly basis
Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours weekly
Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Alzheimer’s Care
• Personal Care
• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner

*No previous experience necessary - skills training provided by Home Instead*
