Spending lots of time with them allows me to bond with them and learn what's best for them," Ciara shares. Through these shared moments, Ciara has learned valuable life lessons, noting, "One lesson I've learned from a client is to take things day by day. Some days are going to be overwhelming and have a lot going on. What's important is you take a deep breath and take it one step at a time."
Ciara's daily goal is simple: ensure every client feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Skilled in i believed that i'm especially skilled for supporting dementia and companionship. these two allow me to help them client and in return i get to learn about their life and the things they did/ still do. i have members in my family that needed help with companionship and have cognitive issues. i would do everything i could to help them just like i do with my current clients., Ciara finds joy in the details of each visit. "My favorite part of a typical day at Home Instead is traveling fo different clients. I have the options to help different people day to day and it makes me feel like I'm making a difference in multiple lives," Ciara says of a typical day.
Ciara praises the local team for their dedication and communication. "I think what makes my office stand out is that they always pick up our calls as soon as possible. If they aren't able to pickup at the time, they typically call back shortly after we leave a voicemail," Ciara notes. "One thing my local team does really well is how they handle last minute callouts. They try to call the regular caregivers with that client before branching out to other caregivers."
In every way, Ciara reflects the heart of caregiving: consistency, connection, and the quiet pride of knowing you've made someone's life better today.
