Staying active is key to staying healthy and independent. However, reduced mobility can make standard exercises a struggle for seniors. Luckily, the Home Instead team found a great local resource that makes fitness accessible AND fun!
The VLPRA Senior Community Center offers a Chairobics program most Mondays at 10am in their Multi-Purpose Room at 1360 E Park Ave. The class is designed to make fitness easier for everyone! It features low-impact aerobics, strength training, and balance exercises, all performed while seated or using a chair for support.
For December, the group will meet on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Check out the Senior Center's Event Calendar for future events and resources.
Supporting mobility is one way Home Instead works to provide the best home care in Valdosta, GA. We encourage everyone to take advantage of accessible community programs like Chairobics to stay active and engaged throughout the year!
