Matt Cohn
Home Instead Owner | Senior Care and Home Care Advocate
For more than 25 years, I have worked with older adults, families, caregivers, and care professionals as they navigate the decisions that come with aging and support at home.
My goal is always to help people understand their options clearly. Every family’s circumstances are different, and the right care plan should reflect the older adult’s routines, preferences, safety needs, and desire for independence.
I own Home Instead locations serving Baton Rouge and Hammond in Louisiana, as well as Gainesville, Lawrenceville, and Dunwoody in Georgia. Through those local teams, I have seen how dependable, relationship-based care can make daily life more manageable for older adults and provide reassurance for the people who love them.

My Approach to Senior Care
I believe good care begins with listening.
An older adult should be included in decisions about their own life whenever possible. Families also deserve clear information, dependable communication, and enough support to make thoughtful choices without feeling rushed.
Care is about more than completing a list of tasks. Trust, consistency, compassion, and genuine connection all influence whether support feels comfortable and respectful.
That same principle applies when selecting a caregiver. Experience matters, but so do patience, reliability, adaptability, and the ability to build a meaningful relationship.
